The Best Decision You Will Make!
Only visiting Capri for a day and where we were staying we had to catch a ferry back by 5:45pm. So, looking around we saw the best way to see Capri in a short amount of time was a boat tour and boy did we pick the right one. Our 3 hour private boat tour with Captain Mario was hands down the best decision we made on our entire Italian vacation. From the moment we set off, we were surrounded by breathtaking views—towering cliffs, shimmering turquoise water, and hidden coves that felt like something out of a dream. One of the absolute highlights was swimming straight through the Green Grotto—diving into crystal-clear water and emerging inside a glowing natural cathedral carved by the sea. It was surreal and unforgettable. We opted out of seeing the Blue Grotto because it would’ve cut out too much time from the 3 hours we had. Since doing that, it gave us time for multiple swim stops. Mario made it more memorable by taking photos of us when we were in the water and on the boat. Captain Mario was an exceptional guide, skipper and also has a fantastic singing voice! His deep knowledge of the island’s history and stories brought every cliff, cave, and landmark to life, turning the journey into something far richer than just a boat ride. To top it all off, we enjoyed chilled prosecco and limoncello on deck as the sun sparkled over the waves. We still talk about this experience constantly—it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. If you’re thinking about booking a private boat tour in Capri, don’t hesitate. It’s unforgettable!

Amazing!!!
The only Capri boat tour you need! Mario was our guide and I cannot recommend him enough. Since it was private we were able to spend as much time as we wanted in each stop and Mario made sure we made it back in time for our ferry. He took us around the whole island and showed us the most iconic spots on Capri. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the kind words. Mario, besides being an excellent captain, works with passion (not everyone has this quality).

Why this scores 86
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private tour in a typical Capri boat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Capri.
How much does Private tour in a typical Capri boat cost?
+
Prices start at $385 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Capri usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour in a typical Capri boat take?
+
Plan for about 2.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Capri is not rushed.
Is Private tour in a typical Capri boat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 411 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Capri, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour in a typical Capri boat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private tour in a typical Capri boat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour in a typical Capri boat?
+
Around 144 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Capri can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Capri and add a light layer if any part of the 2.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour in a typical Capri boat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Capri within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Capri?
+
On Outty we rank every Capri experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Capri Island Boat Ride with Swimming and Limoncello, Kayak tour in Capri between caves and beaches. Photos included., Private Capri Boat Tour Local Gems and Prosecco Best Seller. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Capri?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Capri?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
