They did not have our safety in mind

We had reservations to go out on the 12th all day but there were severe thunderstorm warnings for the afternoon. We would’ve been out in the deep sea and it was already white capping along the coast. Our hotel water taxi refused to take out their boat and other guests had their boat excursions cancelled but Sail & Fun refused to cancel our excursion plus refused to refund us our money. We took our own safety in our own hands and refused to go out. Then we get an email the next day saying it was a pleasure to spend the day w/ us and ask us to share our experience. So here I am sharing, it was not a great experience!

Response from the operator: Hello Jody, so sorry to read all these lies because we did not accept your request to cancel 5 minutes before boarding, with the boat waiting for you in front of your hotel's private dock (so water taxi also is a lie). On that day we had all our 107 boats our around the coast, and, of course, hundreds other from other companies. Moreover weather bullettin can be checked even now and everyone can see that on September 12th 2024 sea and sky was great. Let me say that the not a great experience was from our side.

Scam

An absolute horrible experience. What was promised was not delivered. Trip was cancelled yet others on the island were offering a very similar trip. Do not use this company

Response from the operator: Hello Sheridan, so sad you did not use your real name. Anyway we cancelled the tour because the storm and, of course refunded 100% Not fair, or at least, quite stupid to say "Scam" for something you did not loose any cent. Hope you'll release less stupid reviews in the future, even if i see this is your first 🤦‍♂️

Wonderful afternoon and sunset cruising the Amalfi coast

With a full group we thought it was well worth it! Davide and Fabio picked us up at Amalfi dock in their trim and clean boat. We cruised to Capri, where you have to pay both an entrance fee to blue grotto and "tip" a boatman to row you in. They helped us find one that wasn't overpriced or a scam. We enjoyed that and the cruise around Capri. There were swimming spots but the kids decided not to partake. Since we had extra time due to no swimming, they offered to cruise close to Positano for photos but we had already been there. Then on to various sights, Lover's Arch where Davide serenaded us, then to Isole Li Galli to enjoy prosecco, cichetti like snacks, more music, enjoyed the sunset and the kids fed the fish and dipped their feet. Then a scenic dusk back to Amalfi. Really great time, so friendly and just a perfect way to cap off our tour of Italy. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks Captain Davide and Fabio!

Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Capri.

How much does Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim cost?

+

Prices start at $1590 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Capri usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Capri is not rushed.

Is Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Capri, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim?

+

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Capri can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Capri and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blue Grotto and Capri Private Boat Tour with Aperitivo and Swim start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Capri within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Capri?

+

On Outty we rank every Capri experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Capri Island Boat Ride with Swimming and Limoncello, Kayak tour in Capri between caves and beaches. Photos included., Private Capri Boat Tour Local Gems and Prosecco Best Seller. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Capri?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Capri?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
