    Multicolorida Colombia

My experience in Cartagena was unforgettable. We walked the streets full of color and life. I met loving and passionate people, tried local dishes I had never imagined, and colonial architecture left me without words. Each corner had a story, and the guide made everything even more interesting with their anecdotes, but what really enchanted me was the National Aviary in Barú

We had a great time at the aviary. Miguel was our guide and he was great. Gave us a tour on the ride out. And was so helpful during the walk through the aviary. He introduced us to local music and offered to take us on a drive through the market. What an experience. He was knowledgeable about restaurants and local tourist spots. Can’t recommend it enough!!!

Response from the operator: Dear Drsasson, Thank you for your kind words. We are glad you had an amazing experience with us. It would be a pleasure to have you again in the city and share with you the magic of Cartagena. Best regards, Cindy Buelvas City Concierge

    Very cool experience

Cindy and her team planned our entire three days in Cartegena. She arranged all our tours and restaurant reservations. She also handled our transportation around the city. She made planning this trip very easy. She arranged three tours for us - food tour, history tour and national aviary tour. The tour guides John and Miguel were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very attentive to our needs. We almost didn't go to visit the national aviary. We aren't passionate about birds. However, it ended up being my favorite tour. The best way to describe it is just by saying WOW. If you are on the fence about this tour, I recommend doing it. This place is not something you will find in the US. If you are looking to be lazy like us and have someone plan your entire trip, I recommend Cindy and her team. Everything was so easy and fun!

Response from the operator: Dear Carrie, Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to write about your experience with us. We are pleased to met such nice persons like you both and we look forward to hosting you again in the future so we can show you many more experiences around Colombia! All the best, Cartagena Concierge Team

A great experience supported by qualified staff

Cindy and her staff provided a great experience in transporting me to and from my hotel in Cartagena to the Bird Aviary. I was accompanied at all times throughout the tour and my guide provided necessary translation during the bird show in the auditorium.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your experience! It was a pleasure to accompany you on your visit to the Aviary. We will be happy to welcome you again in Cartagena and provide you with the best experience. Cindy and the Cartagena Concierge Team

    A highlight of our cruise

My husband has always been a bird guy, and when he found out that the National Aviary had a Harpy Eagle, he was all in. We were delighted and amazed at the variety of the birds who were hanging around voluntarily, not under any netting or in any enclosure. That lets you know they're fed well and treated well. Lots of variety. Our tour guide was Elkin, very good. Loved seeing the condors, and other exotics, as well as all the opportunistic iguanas, munching down the fruit meant for the macaws. Delightful, even in the 102 degree heat.

Response from the operator: Dear Liz good evening, Thank you for you kind review. We are glad that you have enjoyed your experience in our National Aviary, an amazing place that shows all our rich variety of birds fauna, perfect for photographers who wants to get in touch with the nature while exploring our Magical City. We look forward to see you again in Cartagena. Kind regards, Cindy Buelvas Concierge

Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary cost?

    +

Prices start at $279 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Birdwatching at Agrícola Camelias – A Sustainable Sanctuary start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
