    What you'll see and do

    1. Merritt Island

Our guides will take you on a beautiful night time adventure into Bioluminescence on the Indian River Lagoon. You will learn to kayak or paddleboard with our instructors as the sun sets and creates a beautiful palette of pinks, oranges and blues. We paddle out to horseshoe crab island and watch the sun set on another day in paradise. Explore the island with your group and meet new friends. Take this time to walk on the sand bar to look for wildlife such as horseshoe crabs and bioluminescent comb jellies. Cup the water in your hands and watch the brilliant stars appear! Take a short swim in the bioluminescence and make your own "glow angels". After the sun sets, the magic of bioluminescence begins. It's hard to describe the beautiful colors of bioluminescence. The fish glow an otherworldly blue as they swim below your paddleboard or kayak. It's an incredibly magical experience. This experience is 2 hours from start to finish with 1.5 hours of guaranteed time on the water.

    It’s really hard to get...

It’s really hard to get it on camera but the experience is amazing. Be early and go ahead and make sure you’re at the right one because there are a lot of other companies out there and we were at the wrong one. Mike and Jordan were our guides and they were great. Took pics and were entertaining.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! So happy you found us and had a good time on your tour. Jenny

    Awesome experience!

Highly recommend! We saw manatee, dolphins, jellyfish, and the bioluminescence algae was incredible! Our tour was awesome and our guides Bob and Joe did a great job leading us, answering questions and teaching us about the local wildlife.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving this awesome feedback. I am so happy you had a good time on your tour.

    Poorly executed no forethought

I knew right from the start but it was my last day in Florida and I wanted to see the bioluminescence right from the start they had smelly dry bags filthy life vest and dirty Sandy kayaks with nasty bilgewater right from the start And I am an outdoorsman so I don't expect things to be pristine. Beyond that, we're going to see the bioluminescence and where do they take us to? Probably the brightest lit part of the whole Bay right by where the power company has their power station with transformers and Bright lights. This was a very poorly planned and thought out excursion. It's a fairly small Bay and I could see the other companies that were there doing the same thing off in the darkness. I wish I would have booked with any one of those instead

Response from the operator: I am so sorry that our tour did not live up to your expectations. We strive to give a 5 star experience every time. I have passed this along to our operations manager. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.

Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.

How much does Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.

Is Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 187 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando?

    +

Around 65 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bioluminescence Clear Kayak & Paddleboard Tour – Near Orlando start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?

    +

March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
