Del Valle Sur
The tour starts at Parque Mariscal Sucre, where you will learn about the history of one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mexico City, La Colonia Del Valle, established in 1900, and take a selfie at the French Kiosk donated in 1920. At the Parroquia del Purísimo Corazón de María, admire one of the first parishes in the city, built between 1922 and 1938. As a curious fact, this church was part of a movie in 1996 and the main actor was Leonardo DiCaprio. Can you guess which one? To get to the center of Coyoacán we will cross Colonia Del Valle, here you can enjoy quiet streets in one of the most beautiful and quiet residential and school areas of the city.

Viveros de Coyoacan
Entering Coyoacán is the Viveros Park, inside there is a track for runners, large green areas for doing yoga or just relaxing, as well as a beautiful orchard. A little lung within Mexico City.

Museo Frida Kahlo
We will pass by what was Frida Kahlo's house throughout her life, now transformed into a museum. (Due to time constraints we cannot enter, but you will be able to take a "selfie" and learn a little about the lifestyle of Frida and Diego Rivera.

Plaza de la Conchita
You will possibly see the first religious building in Mexico, as it was built on a Toltec altar dating from the fall of the Great Tenochtitlán.

Parque Frida Kalho
You will discover one of the most beautiful public parks in the city, opened in 1984. In this park you can enjoy the works of the Mexican sculptor Gabriel Ponzanelli, who lived with Frida in her childhood.

Plaza Hidalgo
After Frida Kahlo Park, we will go to the center of Coyoacán, where lunch awaits us, you will enjoy some delicious quesadillas and a drink. After lunch, we will visit the second most visited public square in the city after the Plaza del Zócalo. Here you will learn part of the history of the fall of Tenochtitlán and the creation of the new Spain. Among the places and buildings we will see are the central kiosk of the square, the house of Hernán Cortés, the monastery of San Juan Bautista and the fountain of the Coyotes.

Lovely bike tour off the beaten path in Mexico City
lovely tour with our guide Ania. Beautiful neighborhoods and town square. Riding was not difficult although one has to be alert to traffic in some area. Tour group was very accommodating of our needs. Recommend

Best way to see Coyoacán!
Excellent bike tour through Coyoacán. The host is an avid cyclist with an in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of Coyoacán. Fun food stop along the way. The bikes are great, light-weight with six gears (although Coyoacán is very flat), great to be able to switch gears as needed. Highly recommend!

Fabulous day with Luis
We had a great trip with Luis. He grew up in the neighbourhood and shared a lot of interesting information. He was very skilled maneuverimg the traffic and we felt very safe. The quesadillas were great and we learned a lot about the area and Mexican history. This was a highlight of our stay in Mexico City.

Amazing value - unique experience - great mix of biking, history, culture, and eating
Luis gave an amazing tour. He is a pro so you are in good hands if you are too, but we were two novice Americans who were well taken care of. He knows all the spots and is able to provide the local views and history. On top of growing up in the area, Luis was also apart of CDMX’s bike lane initiative. We ended the tour at his favorite authentic spots for quesadillas, churros, y cafe. It ended up be a private tour with our couple and him - what a great value. He was very careful about our safety and preferences. It is a unique way to see this area of CDMX

Fun on the Coyoacan tour!
Luis was super prepared and a great guide, ensuring our safety on the road at all times. For the entire route we were either on designated bike lanes or quiet neighborhood streets. Despite the rain we were able to make the best of the afternoon with full rain gear to keep us dry and warm. It was great to learn more about the Coyoacan neighborhood and see the most important sights (and also some spooky ones from old legends 😅). But for me, the absolute highlight was the stop for quesadillas at one of the markets. SO. GOOD. I would definitely book a tour with them again! (The road bike tour to the pyramids is on my bucket list!)
