A Walk Amongst the Ancients

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Jose Ramon & his wife Stella were our tour guides and they were both awesome. Jose Ramon was very knowledgeable about the petroglyphs and I learned a lot from talking to him. Stella did not really speak English, but both were very friendly and made us feel at ease. I love history and could not pass up the opportunity to see this UNESCO World Heritage Site with petroglyphs that in some cases are more than 3,000 years old and uniquely located next to the ocean. There are many petroglyphs depicting faces, geometric designs, animals, and spirals scattered over an area more than three football fields in length. For me, being able to walk amongst these ancient glyphs knowing that human hands carved them thousands of years ago was a spiritual experience. If any of this appeals to you, I highly recommend this tour.

Unique and intriguing

The petroglyphs were created over many millennia in this unique setting of basalt boulders strewn about the beach. Our guide Jose Ramon was courteous, efficient, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

How far in advance should I book Bird watching in Mexico City, half day?

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
