    Amazing experience

This was an amazing experience!! The guides were great. Very fun guys. There’s plenty of free parking by the marina. Once we loaded on the boat we rode about 15+ min before we got in the water. The guides had music going so it was a fun ride in the dark. Once we got out into the water, I cannot adequately describe how amazing it was having these massive manta rays swim right by you! There were many of them and they were constantly in sight, swimming right underneath us and sometimes touching us. We were probably out there for 30-40 min with our snorkel gear on watching them. It was unbelievably cool. The only thing I was not prepared for was how tiring it was holding onto the floating bar in the water. It was an unexpected workout to hold on for that long, but more than worth it! Highly recommend going on this adventure with this tour company.

    Manta Rays in abundance!

Show up 15 minutes early to get fitted with wet suit top. The restrooms at the harbor most likely be closed when you return from the excursion so plan accordingly. Need to bring a towel and maybe a light jacket plus a water proof bag for your belongings. Captain Bryce (sorry if I got the name wrong) and his crew were awesome. They really took care of everything. This was truly a special experience and for me a once in a lifetime event.

    Amazing!!!

This was truly one of the BEST experiences of my life. We came to Hawaii on our honeymoon and this is the main thing we wanted to do. When I say it was worth every penny, I truly mean that. Our team of three which was one girl, and two men knew what they were doing. It was fun and engaging. They were funny and super helpful. They were able to share a lot of information about the manta rays and their habits. We even saw some other ocean friends and they were able to share information about those ones too. I would absolutely do this again. Thanks so much for a life changing experience.

    This is a must activity...

This is a must activity if you are visiting the big island of Hawaii. In particular, Kona. My grandchildren had a wonderful time and so did I. The manta rays are amazing!

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Big Island of Hawaii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Big Island: Manta Ray Night Snorkeling Adventure in Kailua-Kona take?

    +

    +

Around 287 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Big Island of Hawaii and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Big Island of Hawaii?

    +

The Big Island is volcano country: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tours, Mauna Kea summit stargazing, night manta ray snorkels off Kona, Waipio Valley lookouts and coffee farm visits. Summit tours have real altitude rules, so we weight safety detail. On Outty we rank every Big Island of Hawaii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include KONA Manta Ray Night Snorkel - FREE re-ride if no Sightings, Big Island in a Day: Volcanoes Waterfalls Sightseeing and History, Big Island: Captain Cook Snorkel On A Power Catamaran With Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Big Island of Hawaii?

    +

April to October, though the island runs year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Big Island of Hawaii?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
