Wonderful experience
Wonderful tour with excellent guide Praha Laxmi. She was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and considerate. We loved seeing the town and the beautiful drive up to Nagarkot. Praha also assisted me after I returned home when I had a question about some art I had purchased and was being shipped to me. Great follow up was much appreciated! We also had a good driver who made us feel safe every bit of the way.

Bhaktapur and Nagarkot Sunset
Wonderful tour of Bhaktapur - guide gave us both a great historical tour and a great "slice of life" tour, showing us the real, living side of the town. He was very kind and flexible with us. We then went up to Nagarkot to catch the sunset. Unfortunately it was too hazy to see much, but the tour itself was great and the guide was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour and end to the day!
We did this tour the day after the sunrise tour, and it was a great choice! Rahgu picked us up at the hotel and took us to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where he gave a wonderful history lesson, and plenty of time to explore ourselves. We didn't take as long as we could have, and we didn't eat lunch (because we had eaten lunch at the hotel), so we ended up having a decent amount of time to kill up at Nagarkot. But Rahgu gave us plenty of information, clarified some questions we had from the day before, and, generally, was a wonderful host! The ride back to our hotel was made even better by the sight of so many homes decorated for Diwali! It was like whole neighborhoods decorated for Christmas in the US.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for choosing us and giving us the opportunity to serve you. It is our immense pleasure. We look forward to serving you with our best hospitality in the future too.

Great tour but no sunset
Had a great walk on tour. Would have been better if it did not rain and was not able to see the sunset.
Response from the operator: Dear Curtis_F, Thank you very much for choosing us and giving us the opportunity to serve you. It is our immense pleasure. Ultimately the weather condition had been changed to rain and sad that you couldn't see the sunset. We look forward to serving you with our best hospitality in future too. Regards, Liberty Holidays

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bhaktapur Sightseeing with Nagarkot Sunset Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
