Fantastic transportation and tour guides!
We used Aim twice while we were in Rome. The first time was a pick up from the cruise port in Citivecchia and included an all day tour of Rome; the second was a ride to the airport from our hotel two days later. Both experiences were absolutely FIVE STAR. Our driver at the cruise port was Manual. Personality plus, very knowledgeable both about current day Rome and about its history, including very detailed information about various neighborhoods. He was friendly, funny and made us laugh the entire day. His English is perfect and he is charming. Towards the end of the day we learned that he was an actor and had a Wikipedia page! He took us to a few places that we likely wouldn't have found on our own, such as the Jewish Ghetto and suggested a wonderful restaurant for a bite of lunch. He was punctual on the pick up at the port, and was an excellent driver. My one complaint is that the van had the back two rows of seats facing each other. We were four adults and one of the adults is almost 6'5". So 3 of us were in one row facing the front and one person was facing the back. It wasn't the most comfortable set up. I would recommend that you request a car with the two back rows both facing the front. We did a workaround with me sitting in the front seat next to Manual and that was more comfortable for the other three in the back. Our driver from the hotel to the airport two days later was Daniel. He arrived at the hotel 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and was the consummate professional. He really knows his way around the Rome streets (as did Manual) to get us out of the city and on our way to the airport. He was very knowledgeable as well, and provided details about buildings we passed, etc. that we didn't know about. He was also a great conversationalist. The car he drove appeared to be newer than Manual's and it did have all of the seats facing the front. This made for a more comfortable ride. All in all, I would recommend this company without hesitation and definitely will use them again if we are lucky enough to be in Rome again!
