Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque
Hagia Sophia, officially the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, is a mosque and a major cultural and historical site in Istanbul, Turkey. It was formerly a church (360–1453) and a museum (1935–2020). The last of three church buildings to be successively erected on the site by the Eastern Roman Empire, it was completed in AD 537, becoming the world's largest interior space and among the first to employ a fully pendentive dome. It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture and is said to have "changed the history of architecture".From its dedication in 360 until 1453 Hagia Sophia served as the cathedral of Constantinople in the Byzantine liturgical tradition, except for the period 1204–1261 when the Latin Crusaders installed their own hierarchy. After the fall of Constantinople in 1453, it served as a mosque, having its minarets added soon after. The site became a museum in 1935, and was redesignated as a mosque in 2020.

Excellent
Excellent tour and excellent place where we acquired it. We had the best price and a guy who explained in detail the whole tour we were going to take in Spanish. I highly recommend hiring with them

Istanbul very nice, but cappadocia was magical
The transport from the airport to the city, is very economical, we were oriented for the return because the arrival I took car and charged us 2,000 lire. And the train only costs 100 lire. So the difference is quite a lot. Besides, there's too much traffic. Then my recommendation is to take a train to the place where they are going to stay that leaves much cheaper and faster. I recommend the agency I went to cappadocia for are very professional. Ray took care of me and was watching me the whole time. And I always wondered how the Escurcion had gone, the agency is called Ucan travel, do not hesitate to contact the truth was the best decision I made

Graded "A+" travel tour experience
The staff are so accommodating and friendly. They will assist you of everything you needed for your tour. It was my first time in Istanbul and had to visit a friend in Mersin and planned to visit Cappadocia as well, so i did book a return ticket from Adana Airport. It was a pick season and that when i was in Istanbul there were no available flight going to Cappadocia and even buses. Someone had recommended me to them to seek a help and assistance and so everything went so smoothly. I've got a night bus trip going to cappadocea and even find me a good hotel to stay. As mentioned earlier that it was a peak season, the bus statiin was so full of travellers and got my trip delayed but they have assisted me until i was able to ride on from the bus and have assisted me all the way on my itineraries and concern during my tour.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best Of Old City Tour with Museum Tickets and Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
