    Outstanding tour!!

This was a wonderful tour, living up to every expectation! We loved our driver, Amir, was so mindful of our group’s mobility issues and planned accordingly. He was great at giving historical facts and answering questions. He had some audio recordings he played that enlarged his explanations of each site. He took us to a great overlook across the bay from Lunenburg which buses would not have been able to access. He got us to Peggy’s Cove and the lighthouse before the buses started arriving. Yay Amir!! You will enjoy this private tour immensely!!

    Great tour

This private tour was great for our family. Maaz was very nice, took care of the driving and parking, and offered some info along the route. We got to stop everywhere we wanted and helped to pick the timing based on our interest. This was a great itinerary and we enjoyed the day.

Fantastic day in and around Halifax!

We LOVED our day in Halifax and its surroundings! Our guide Maaz was marvelous! He was engaging, very easy to talk to, and brought us to so many places: Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, the Fairview Lawn Cemetery and the Citadel. I would have loved to spend one more full day in Halifax, but unfortunately we only had today in Halifax. This tour was the perfect way to see most important Halifax sights in one day. I highly recommend it!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a pleasure showing you the best of Halifax and Nova Scotia in a single day. We're delighted to hear that Maaz made your experience enjoyable and that you loved visiting Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Fairview Lawn Cemetery, and the Citadel. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Nova Scotia one day so you can spend even more time exploring everything Halifax has to offer. Safe travels, and thank you for choosing us!

A nice way to get to see...

A nice way to get to see more of Halifax besides the area surrounding the cruise ship terminal. We created our own private trip with the input of Anant our driver and the things we wanted to see. Went to places large buses couldn't go and were able to get closer to attractions to help with our older passengers mobility challenges. We saw a lot in our trip!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the lovely review! We’re really happy to hear you had a great time exploring Halifax with Anant. It’s always our goal to make the day comfortable and personalized, especially when traveling with guests who may need a bit of extra care getting around. Sounds like you got to see some special spots that big tour buses usually miss — that’s the beauty of a private trip! We truly appreciate you choosing us and hope to see you again sometime. 😊

Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Halifax.

How much does Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $645 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Halifax usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Halifax is not rushed.

Is Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Halifax, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Halifax can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Halifax and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Nova Scotia: Full-Day Private Luxury Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Halifax within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Halifax?

    +

On Outty we rank every Halifax experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wine and Lunch Escape, Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley, Half-Day Historical Tour of Halifax. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Halifax?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Halifax?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
