    Great tour

Great tour that covered a lot of ground in one day. We could have spent more time in Lunenburg. Restaurants were busy as multiple buses arrived at the same time but we found a nice place to eat and went on the Bluenose. Ending in Wolfville at the winery was a great conclusion to the tour. Would recommend.

    Great experience in Nova Scotia

This tour is exactly what i was looking for. A great way to visit all of the tourist hotspots with a great tour guide. Huge props to Ian for leading a great tour! If youre looking to avoid all the annoyances of a traditional tour bus, this is the way to go. Could not recommend them more!

Great opportunity to learn about Nova Scotia

The gentleman guiding us had a ton of history and knowledge to impart and was very personable as well. Enjoyed Peggy’s Cove, Lunnenberg and stops to see Bay of Fundy from distance. The small stops at Queensland Beach and Mahone Bay perfect picture opportunities. Love the small group experiences.

I was happy to cover so...

I was happy to cover so much ground in Nova Scotia, but all the stops were brief. The guide was friendly. They did a good job talking about the province, but often focused on conversation with two of the guests.

Response from the operator: We’re glad you enjoyed covering so much ground and learning about Nova Scotia with us! We’ll admit, we’re a little stumped by losing two stars for the stops being brief while also getting credit for covering so much of the province. Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg AND the Annapolis Valley in one day involves a certain amount of… going places. We’d love to offer leisurely two-hour stops at each, but until Nova Scotia agrees to become considerably smaller, we’d be getting everyone home sometime around midnight. As for the conversation: we usually start our tours by telling guests that it’s a two-way street. Our guides love questions, interruptions, stories and conversation — and with a maximum of seven guests, there’s plenty of opportunity for it. It sounds like two of your fellow travellers really took us up on that! 😉 We are glad to hear, though, that your guide did a good job talking about the province. Apparently some Nova Scotia snuck into all that conversation after all. Thanks for coming along for the ride!

A very small group - personalized tour.

We chose a full-day tour that took us far and wide ... to Peggy's Cove early enough in the day to arrive before large crowds were there, giving us ample time to enjoy. To a scenic drive along St. Margaret's Bay with stops along the beach. To Lunenbueg for lunch and a good look around. To Wolfville and Grand Pre ... and then back home to the city. All as advertised. Our guide was well-informed and entertained us along the way. He especially worked to help make the whole day fun for our 7-yr old. The van was perfect. A small group day without needing to wait for crowds. The van was the very best way to see, enjoy and relax. Our strongest recommendation for anyone looking to skip the crowds and receive a personalized tour. Thank you, Evan!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Halifax.

How much does Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley cost?

    +

Prices start at $178 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Halifax usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley take?

    +

Plan for about 8.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Halifax is not rushed.

Is Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 446 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Halifax, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley?

    +

Around 156 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Halifax can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Halifax and add a light layer if any part of the 8.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Small Group Tour - Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, the Annapolis Valley start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Halifax within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Halifax?

    +

On Outty we rank every Halifax experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wine and Lunch Escape, Best of Halifax 3 Hr Ebike Tour with Tour Guide, Half Day Small Group Tour in Peggy's Cove and Titanic Cemetery. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Halifax?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Halifax?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
