Sale was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable

Incredible!!!
Sale was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, if you're thinking about booking this tour... do it. He was so knowledgeable, empathetic, and honestly just wise. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and by the end of the day the whole bus felt like one big family. I learned so much, stepped way outside my comfort zone, and actually swam by a waterfall! I made so many new friends, and I always felt safe because safety was clearly his number one priority, which I really appreciated. Also... not gonna lie, my favorite part of the whole tour was watching him feed the chickens. 😂 It was such a small moment, but it showed what a huge heart he has. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals, nature, and people. And the surprise at the end?! I won't spoil it, but I absolutely loved it. Thank you so much, Sale, for giving me one of my favorite memories from Hawaii. This was easily one of the best days of my trip. ❤️

Great Tour - Worth the Money
Took the tour on 5/29/26. This was an interisland booking. Left (via car rental) the Disney Aulani Hotel in Ko Alina at 3:45 AM to be sure to make the 5:50 AM Southwest Airlines flight. Be sure to park in Terminal 2 Parking if you have to check into the Southwest Kiosk for your tickets. Arrived and picked up by tour operator with no delays. The black tour vehicle looked new and was very clean inside. Cookies and water were available during the tour. The tour operator talked a lot about Maui (points of interest, culture and history). Hiakalea was fantastic and you had the option of walking up to the Summit, where the photo ops were perfect. The food at the General Store was delicious and quickly served. The distillery tour was very enjoyable with many different tastings. Came back in plenty of time to make the 7 PM flight back to Oahu. My family of 4 definitely thought the tour was worth the money.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kihei.
How much does Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $307 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kihei usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kihei is not rushed.
Is Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 199 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kihei, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch?
+
Around 70 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kihei can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kihei and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best of Maui Tour: Sips, Sites and Bites with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kihei within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kihei?
+
Kihei, HI packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Kihei by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Kihei experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Road to Hana Adventure Maui Tour with Lunch, Maui: Haleakala Sunrise Spectacular with Local Breakfast, Maui: Famous Road to Hana Waterfalls and Lunch by Mercedes Van. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kihei?
+
Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Kihei, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kihei?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
