About this experience
This 3-hour walking food tour moves at a relaxed, local pace, alternating between savory bites, sweets, and drinks. Portions are shared in the Danish way, allowing you to taste broadly without rushing or overfilling. The rhythm mirrors how locals snack, lunch, and linger across the city center. The tour begins inside Copenhagen’s central food halls with classic smørrebrød, then continues nearby with a second take on these open-faced sandwiches, highlighting how small changes in toppings and preparation shape modern Danish cooking. From there, the focus shifts gently toward sweet flavors with traditional hard candies and a historic pastry stop, where flaky dough and warm spices take center stage. Street food comes next with a simple but iconic organic hot dog, before the walk winds down in a historic pub. Here, you’ll enjoy a local beer or non-alcoholic alternative, rounding out the tour the way many Copenhageners do: seated, unhurried, and in good company.

Ludo is a great tour guide give this man a raise.
We just had Ludo as our tour guide and even though he is French and only lived in Copenhagen for 3 years. His love for his newly adopted home shows through his enthusiasm. I wouldn’t tattoo the nyc subway map onto my arm but Ludo proudly shows it off. I wish Ludo the best in Copenhagen in finding the best work a rewarding life and hope he finds a new husband in cph.

Food-tasting was great. ...
Food-tasting was great. And Mood was a good tour guide - knowledgeable and personable. But it was WAY too hot to stand in the sun while hearing about the various sites in the city. Finding shaded areas would have made such a big difference. Also - Mood was a bit surprised by our vegetarianism (and the fact that we do not eat fish), even though I noted that information when booking the tour. Not sure why he didn't know.

First time visitor to Copenhagen!
This food tour felt like sharing a walking meal with a knowledgeable friend. While we traveled between food stops Mood (our guide) wove in stories about the city’s history, architecture, notable individuals, and Danish customs. Mood has lived in Copenhagen for more than 10 years but he too was once new to the city. As a visitor I appreciated how this perspective highlighted both the unique attributes of the culture and the fun of exploring a new place. Mood went out of his way to offer tailored recommendations for the remainder of my trip. I truly can’t say enough positive things about this tour and I think my experiences in Copenhagen were richer because of it.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.
How much does Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods cost?
+
Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.
Is Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best Copenhagen Food Tour with 5+ Tastings of Danish Foods start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?
+
On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Social Sailing - Copenhagen Canal Tour - Captain's Favorite. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Copenhagen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
