The Round Tower
The Round Tower - The 17th century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the round tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. When Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was quite famous for its astronomical achievements thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. When he died in 1601, the King wished to continue Brahe's research, and thus the round tower came into being. It has been a while since the scientists left, but the observatory is still used by amateur astronomers and the many visitors. The observatory is encircled by an outdoor platform from which you have a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen.

Church of Our Lady - Copenhagen Cathedral
The Copenhagen Cathedral in its present shape is an unpretentious building in Neo-Classicist style designed by the architect C.F. Hansen. The foundation stone was laid by King Frederik VI in 1817, and the solemn consecration took place on Whitsunday 1829. However, the site of the present cathedral has housed a church ever since Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, had a small chapel built on the premises. The original church was erected at the highest point in the town around 1200.

Copenhagen - rain or shine!
Our tour guide Bob was simply amazing! He was very knowledgeable and kept the tour fun, and interesting. His personal experiences made this tour unique and different! He brought umbrellas for everyone, which came really handy since it rained on three different occasions throughout the tour. We walked close to 12k as we learned about Danish history and culture and also got wonderful eating tips! He made sure everyone was following the tour and accommodated restroom breaks. Thanks Bob for making our first visit to the fantastic city of Copenhagen so wonderful! I would book another tour with Bob without hesitation!

Bob Kerr is not only incredibly knowledgeable and informative, but he also makes the experience truly memorable by incorporating fascinating historical details and personal anecdotes throughout the tour. Great guide, great tour
Tours are made or broken by the guide, and August was fantastic. He loves his city, which always makes for a more enjoyable tour. Some cultural tours can be interesting, but a bit dry. August as anything but dry. He quickly assessed our vibe (laid back, kind of lazy, but always looking to learn), and tailored the tour appropriately. He provided a wealth of information on both the city and culture. We had a blast, and anyone who tours with this operator and guide will thoroughly enjoy themselves.

Great walking tour of Copenhagen
