Amazing experience — Fes to Marrakech desert tour
We booked the 3-day tour from Fes to Marrakech and it exceeded our expectations. The route itself is worth it alone — you go from cedar forests and mountains, down through desert landscapes, and finish crossing the High Atlas. Never a dull moment. The camel ride into the Sahara and the night at the desert camp was definitely the highlight for us. Watching the sunset over the dunes and then waking up early for sunrise was something we won’t forget. The camp itself was simple but comfortable, and the food was better than expected. Along the way we stopped at some really cool spots — old kasbahs, Todra Gorge, and Ait Benhaddou, which was a nice surprise. Our driver made the trip easy, gave good context on the places we visited, and was flexible when we wanted extra time for photos. Three days felt like the right amount of time to see a lot without feeling rushed. Everything was well organized from pickup to drop-off. Would definitely recommend this tour if you’re traveling between Fes and Marrakech and want to see the desert.

An unforgettable desert adventure
We did a 3 day private tour from Fes to Marrakech and it was an amazing experience. During the journey we cross spectacular landscapes, from the Atlas Mountains and cedar forests to the oases and breathtaking desert landscapes. The most special moment was to reach the Sahara Desert and take the sunset camel ride over the dunes. Spending the night in the desert camp was magical: the star-studded sky, traditional music and hospitality of the team made it a unique experience. Our driver was very friendly, professional and always attentive to our needs. He explained many things about the local culture and stopped at several beautiful places to take pictures. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the true beauty of Morocco. It was an authentic and unforgettable experience. 🌅🏜️

Berber Hospitality at its Finest
This tour was an incredible immersion into Berber culture and the raw beauty of the Sahara. The landscapes we passed through were breathtaking, but what truly made the trip special was the people. Our driver was a Berber himself and shared so many stories about his family, traditions, and life in the mountains. The staff at the hotel in the Dades Valley were so welcoming, and the food was incredible. The pinnacle was, of course, the night in the Berber desert camp. The men who run the camp were incredibly hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed. They prepared a wonderful dinner and then treated us to traditional drumming and singing around the fire. It felt like a genuine cultural exchange, not just a performance for tourists. The camel ride was a great experience, and our camel guide was patient and helpful. The sunrise over the dunes was the perfect ending to our desert adventure. The long drive back was scenic and comfortable. This is more than a tour; it's a chance to connect with the soul of Morocco 🇲🇦.

Amazing Tour Family with children
We booked the 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech as a family with two young children, and it turned out to be the absolute highlight of our entire Morocco trip. From the moment our driver, Amine, picked us up at our Riad right on time, we knew we were in good hands. He was incredibly patient with the kids, made frequent comfort stops, and even pointed out interesting landmarks along the way. The first day took us through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, where we stopped in Ifrane, the 'Switzerland of Morocco,' and then visited the cedar forests where the children were thrilled to see and feed the wild Barbary apes. We arrived in the evening at our hotel in the Dades Valley, which was comfortable and had a wonderful dinner. Day two was the one we had all been waiting for. We drove through the Todra Gorges, with its massive canyon walls, and arrived in the Sahara Desert by late afternoon. The camel trek at sunset was pure magic—riding over the golden dunes as the sun dipped below the horizon. Our children were giggling with joy the entire time. We spent the night in a desert camp, and I cannot describe how special it was: traditional Berber music around the fire, a sky absolutely bursting with stars, and comfortable tents with warm blankets. The next morning, we woke early to watch the sunrise over the dunes—a moment we will never forget. Day three was a long but scenic drive back to Marrakech, with stops at fascinating locations like the Rose Valley and the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which felt like stepping onto a movie set. Our driver was knowledgeable and shared stories about each place we visited. This tour was worth every single dirham. If you are considering a desert tour, book it. And if you can request Amine as your driver, do it—he made the experience unforgettable for our entire family. Thank you for the memories!

Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.
How much does Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech cost?
+

How long does Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.
Is Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best 3 Day Private Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fez?
+
On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fez ( instagram /Photos ), Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, 2 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Fes/Marrakech via Erg Chebbi. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fez?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fez?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
