Amazing Tour Guide aka Your New Friend

A few minutes after booking the tour. Naveen contacted me on WhatsApp - an incredibly kind gesture, even when payment was not made. He kindly asked questions about our interests, and during the tour, he definitely covered them, making the experience tailored and personal. Quickly, it was obvious he was not your regular tour guide - he was attentive to our requests, made recommendations that fit who we were, and took us ALL OVER MUNICH! He was genuine in wanting us to have a good tour, was patient and tolerant of our many questions, and generous with his time and knowledge. He provided links to places before we met and after - even the next two days when we had questions. Definitely felt like we were visiting with a good friend who took us around to all the cool things. Thank you, Naveen, for the fabulous tour and being available after the tour, as we navigated Munich by ourselves. :)

Response from the operator: Thank you indeed Mi jee & Charlie Murphy ! It was wonderful hosting you both & thank you for pointing out the links and messages and contacts before and after the tour ! That’s what I do as usual on a normal day ! When you go to a new city you meet some one and they help you & I believe you’ll pass it on too to your family and friends ! Have a great time out there in baltics & Ireland 🇮🇪! Fondly, Myself The optimist For all of you out here !

Historical tour of Munich with Nuveen

Naveen is an extremely well-prepared, knowledgeable and fun guide...and perfect for our introduction to Munich's history, architecture and culture. By putting every site into historical context, Naveen brought the sites to life. He was able to show historical photos of the places we visited (which, by the way, he had organized so well that the use of his phone for pictures was never a hindrance), which became so critical to our understanding of the history. We finished the tour at a wonderful restaurant that he recommended, but he also gave us great recommendations within the market and city for dining...as well as tips and referrals for our planned visit to Salzburg. Using a local, private tour guide like Naveen makes us feel closer to, and more familiar with, Munich. I highly recommend him.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such a detailed and well thought out review in such a short time ! Hope you've all enjoyed the drive on the autobahn today to Salzburg and the Mozart Kugeln 🎱! It was all those open and easy going conversations by walking the talk with you & Grace along with Mariebelle & Jeremy ! Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity to have hosted you and you can always reach me , whenever there be a need and as you knew now , Munich is the place to come and call it a home again in Europe and life will move on with a huge goodwill and Optimism ! Have a great time here ! Fondly , Myself Have a great time here all of you

    Great tour of Munich

We had a great tour with Naveen. He arrived early and we started early and he was generous with his time and customized the places to show us based on our previous walking tour to not duplicate sites.

Response from the operator: It was wonderful hosting you both Jeremy and Meilssa ! The conversations were wonderful and as authentic with you both aling with good food and memories created the flow of times and not keeping a check on time at the same time not over doing it for you both too ! Looking forward to hosting you again sometime on the future here in Europe ! Fondly ! Optimist NaveeN

Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.

Is Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Behind The Screen Discover Authentic Munich with a Private Host start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
