Afterward, relax in Girdwood with a local brewery tour and tasting at the base of Alyeska Ski Resort. At the brewery they have some great food trucks. Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
After picking up at hotels, as we drive through downtown Anchorage point out some historical sites. We had to turn it arm with a scenic drive, looking for wildlife. As we head towards the Girdwood area, and to the Alaska Wildlife conservation center, where we will watch and see a lot of Alaskan animals. We will spend some time there. Then we head to Portage Glacier to Chugach National Forest. For some great scenic photo opportunities. And some great surprises, and afterwards we go to Girdwood for beer tastings. Please have an ID for Beer tasting. Cheers!

Bears, Beers, & the Best Tour Guide in Alaska!
If you're looking for a truly authentic Alaskan experience, the Bears & Beer Tour is an absolute must! Your guide, Angie, is an Alaska native whose knowledge and passion for her home made the entire day unforgettable. She didn't just tell us facts—she shared Alaska's history, personal stories, and local insight that you simply won't get on a typical tour bus. What was supposed to be a 6-hour tour turned into nearly 8 hours, and we loved every extra minute. There was never a feeling of being rushed. Instead, it felt like spending the day exploring with a friend, sharing laughs, stories, and incredible scenery along the way. One of the highlights was visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where we learned about the rescued animals that now call it home. Many were there because of injuries, the loss of their mothers, or unfortunate interactions with humans. Seeing these magnificent animals up close while learning their stories from Angie, was both educational and inspiring. We wrapped up the day at a local brewery with great drinks and conversation. It was the perfect ending to a one-of-a-kind adventure. If you want a personalized, relaxed tour that goes beyond the usual tourist experience, I can't recommend this tour enough!

Most amazing Alaska Bears and Beers Tour
Our guide, Angie, was the best tour guide I have ever had! She is a native Alaskan and loves to share her amazingly beautiful state with her guests. The tour was supposed to be approximately 6 hours but ended up being closer to 8. Angie asked at the beginning of the tour if she could show us extra places that wasn’t on the list that I will never forget! She showed us Alaska surfing the bore wave which happens only a certain times of the year. (Google Alaska bore wave) It was the tide surfing into the inlet like a flash flood that surfers would ride in 30 degree weather. We all loved it!! Also stopped along the way to see Beluga whales! Angie has been going to the animal sanctuary since she was a kid and knows all animals by name. They even know her and respond to her! We finished things up at Girdwood Brewery located in a ski area. It has such a great vibe and we all had some amazing craft beers. Angie is also an amazing photographer and took some incredible pictures of all of us and showed us how to do it ourselves on our phones. Lastly, Angie asked where we wanted to be dropped off and did so for all the 7 new friends in made this day. Wish I could give her more than 5 stars!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
