Very scary boat rude
The tour guide should check the weather and sea conditions prior to leaving the harbour. Seas had 3 meter swells on return trip, conditions so bad be stopped to take a bus back to base. The cost of food at the preferred restaurant was outrageous. $20 for guacamole and $20 for small plate of French fries.

Great overview of the major bays of Huatulco
Great overview of the major bays and beaches ofHuatulco. First stop was an amazing snorkeling opportunity and second stop was at a wonderful palapa restaurant on the beach. Very relaxing and opportunity for activity if you do the snorkeling.

Amazing
Crew was amazing and so friendly. Super helpful, very down to earth. Made us feel safe while snorkeling in the open water/ocean. That was intense.

My wife was charged 250...
My wife was charged 250 pesos for a life jacket. She brought her own snorkel, fins and mask. No one else was charged. Viator trip described as a Catamaran. Our boat was a standard panga, overcrowded with 14 passengers.
Response from the operator: Dear Scott_G, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a comment. We continually work to offer a good experience to our guests and we regret that we have not hit the nail on the head in this regard. We hope this will help us improve in the future.

Average ride
I did the five bays and it took a few hours from the cruise dock. The first half of the ride was very good as the guide spoke excellent English and gain great commentary on the land and other information. We saw a blowhole that was interesting. We stopped for 1/2 hour at Maguey Bay for swimming. This was a major disappointment as it was just a beach - no coral or fish. Others commented the water was a bit chilly, so I did not bother to get in, and seeing fish was one of the reasons I signed up. They did serve bananas, watermelon, coke, fresca, water, beer and margaritas the entire trip. The ride back did not have as much commentary. It overall was average.
Response from the operator: Dear Donna Jemmott, Thank you for your review; We greatly appreciate the time you have taken to send us this valuable comment. We are very sorry to hear that you did not have a great time in our mission is to provide great guest experiences, so we are sorry to have disappointed you. We have taken your feedback into account and will strive to improve accordingly. The Travel Experience Group

Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Huatulco.
How much does Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Huatulco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Huatulco is not rushed.
Is Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Huatulco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Huatulco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Huatulco and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bays of Huatulco and Snorkeling Experience with Drinks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Huatulco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Huatulco?
+
On Outty we rank every Huatulco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Huatulco Ocean Eco Adventures, Tour to Copalitilla Magical Waterfalls from Huatulco with admission included, Huatulco: Waterfalls, Zipline & Oaxacan Food. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Huatulco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Huatulco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
