Beautiful hours in the harbor
Beautiful hours on the water. Not too crowded with only 6 pax. Easy parking by Rusty Scupper and walk to marina. They meet right at your sailing time so no need to show up very early.

Wind on my hair!
This was one of the most enjoyable sailing cruises I’ve ever taken. Absolutely fabulous with the wind in your hair and Captain John educating you on the history of Baltimore and America the offer cool drinks, water sodas, Gatorade, while you’re on board the one thing I really appreciate it was the tour started on time and they had you back exactly one and a half hours later, I felt like I had my own private sailboat

Amazing experience!
My family and I had the best time sailing with Tom and crew on the Summer Wind. It was absolutely the highlight of our time in Baltimore. We learned a lot about sailing (we previously knew zero) and had a great time hearing about their sailing adventures. They were so friendly and fun. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting Baltimore and we will definitely sail with them again next time we’re in Baltimore!

The crew was friendly,...
The crew was friendly, but not overbearing. Clearly experienced and knowledgeable sailors. Very chill atmosphere--not a tacky booze cruise!

Beautiful sail on a lovely boat with a great crew
I was lucky enough to sail on the Summer Wind early in the season in mid-April when the tourist crowds are small. I was on the boat with a small group of women holding a bachelorette party. The boat can easily accommodate many more passengers, so we each had our own side and were able to enjoy our respective sails. The crew were great, handing out soft drinks and offering blankets as the sun went down. The evening was gorgeous with a nearly full moon rising over the bay. The bachelorette party had a great play list for the sail and we really enjoyed our time at sea.

Why this scores 75

Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Baltimore.
How much does Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Baltimore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Baltimore is not rushed.
Is Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Baltimore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Baltimore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Baltimore and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Baltimore Evening Sail on the Summer Wind start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Baltimore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Baltimore?
+
Baltimore leans on the Inner Harbor: Fort McHenry visits, harbour cruises, Edgar Allan Poe and ghost walks, crab-focused food tours and a strong museum lineup within walking distance. On Outty we rank every Baltimore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Baltimore Walking Foodie Tour in Fells Point, Fells Point Food Tour in Baltimore, Glow in the Dark Splatter Paint Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Baltimore?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Baltimore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
