Tiago excellent
Tiago was excellent at giving us information about all the areas from Porto to Nazare. He also suggested going to Óbidos and where to eat dinner in Nazare. We followed his suggestions and were very happy with his recommendations. At one point along our drive when we stopped for lunch, we were having difficulty communicating with the restaurant workers. We asked Tiago to come in and speak for us. He came right away. Tiago was very friendly and we enjoyed our time with him.
Response from the operator: Dear jonathanpD8706LG, Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear that Tiago made your tour such a positive experience, sharing valuable insights from Porto all the way to Nazaré and suggesting wonderful additions like Óbidos and a great dinner spot. It’s fantastic that his recommendations enhanced your day and that he was there to assist when you needed help communicating at the restaurant. His friendliness and dedication truly define the quality of service we aim to provide, and we’re glad you enjoyed your time with him. Warm Regards, Meridian4People – Premium Private Tours

Excellent private tour
We booked a private tour to Costa Nova, Aveiro and Coimbra for a full day and it was exactly what we wanted. Our driver and guide, Cristovao (Chris) was exceptional. He was so flexible and knowledgeable and recommended an excellent place for lunch. Our tour was during a terrible heat wave so having a great private car with AC was exactly what we needed. Chris even stoped at Senhor da Pedra on the return from our trip. I would definitely book with this tour provider and Chris again.
Response from the operator: Dear James, Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review. We are truly delighted to know that your private tour to Costa Nova, Aveiro and Coimbra was exactly what you were hoping for. Cristóvão (Chris) is indeed an exceptional guide — flexible, knowledgeable, and always committed to creating a smooth and memorable experience for our guests. We are very pleased that his lunch recommendation was perfect and that the comfort of the private vehicle made a difference during the heat wave. The additional stop at Senhor da Pedra is a lovely touch, and we’re glad it added even more value to your day. Your kind words and willingness to book with us again mean a lot. We look forward to welcoming you back on another visit to Portugal. Warm regards, Meridian4People Team

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aveiro, Costa Nova and Coimbra Private Tour From Porto start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
