An awesome night 🌙
An awesome experience! Jinyar was the perfect guide with the right enthusiasm of a hunter grabbing every chance, every opening to view Aurora.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review! We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience and appreciated the effort put into chasing every possible opening in the sky. That “hunter” mindset is exactly what Northern Lights chasing is about — staying flexible and making the most of every opportunity nature gives. Northern lights tour
We got to see dancing northern lights, thanks to our guide. He took us to many spots and took various northern lights pictures and even videos of us. Highly recommend

Once in a lifetime experience
This was a truly exceptional experience. We went in a small group with a total of 6 people. Our guide was very attentive and knowledgeable. He is also a very talented photographer and got great photos of us with the aurora. Even though it was not the best night and we had clouds and moonlight, we still got some amazing shots! I highly recommend this for smaller groups
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience with us. We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the small-group atmosphere. Keeping the group small allows us to travel more flexibly, find quieter locations away from light pollution, and take the time to help everyone capture great photos under the Arctic sky. Even on nights with clouds or bright moonlight, we always do our best to adapt to the conditions and make the experience memorable. It’s great to hear that you still managed to get some amazing photos with the aurora. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope the memories from that night in the Arctic stay with you for a long time. Warm regards, Alshemal Norway

100% recommended
AMAZING! The odds were stacked against because the forecast wasn’t very optimal. However, we were able to see how professional our guide was to bring us to areas where we would see the lights. He was a true intuitive in regard to navigation to find the lights. This was one of the best experiences we could have hoped for. My only tip would wear WARM boots and socks! The photos are beautiful, and we got loads! We’d definitely recommend to anyone looking
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear that the experience exceeded expectations, especially on a night when the forecast didn’t look very promising. Northern Lights chasing often means adapting to changing weather conditions, so it’s great to know the effort to find clearer skies made the night special for you. Your tip about warm boots and socks is absolutely right — staying comfortable in the Arctic makes a big difference while waiting for the aurora. We’re also glad you enjoyed the photos and that you were able to take many memories home with you. Thank you again for joining us and for recommending the experience. We hope the memories from that night under the Arctic sky stay with you for many years to come. Warm regards, Alshemal Norway

AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.
How much does AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos cost?
+
Prices start at $3200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.
Is AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does AURORA Northern Lights Safari long trip 8 people Max With photos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tromso?
+
On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Minibus Chase from Tromsø with Chasing Lights, Northern Lights Big Bus Chase with Chasing Lights, Tromsø Northern Lights Chase We Go Where The Lights Appear. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tromso?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tromso?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
