Troms
We will chase in the Troms region. Depending on the weather, and weather forecast we will travel out from the city. Some evenings we will be staying around the coast. Other evenings we will go towards inland. We have private camp locations all around the region, and we will sometimes use them, so we can stay at a private location instead of a shared parking lot with many other companies. These private locations also have toilets, which we can use.

Incredible views of the northern lights
Went with my family on the minibus aurora chase last night and it was fantastic. Our guide Juan was very knowledgeable and passionate, the minibus driver (Marty/martin?) was friendly and chatty too. We were incredibly lucky that Juan found the ideal spot for us where we saw the northern lights so clearly. You could see them dancing too. Our spot was so good that we didn’t have to move away from it at all! Such a fantastic experience
Response from the operator: Heia, we are so happy to hear that you and your whole family had great time on the tour being guided by Juan and driven by Morten. We will make sure that your kind words reach them! Kind regards, Best Arctic

Magical experience with Ambre and Magne!
We had an amazing experience doing the Northern Lights tour with Ambre and Magne! Both guides were very kind, professional and shared a lot of knowledge about the Northern Lights and the whole region. Also for the booking, we were assisted by Nancy, who explained to us all the details about the tour, the booking process and any other details required. The service experience was very professional and helpful. We saw the lights and it was a magical experience! Also, Ambre took some amazing pictures of us. We highly recommend booking this tour!
Response from the operator: Dear Federico, thank you very much for sharing your kind feedback with us. We will certainly pass it on to Ambre, Magne and Nancy — they will be very happy to hear it. Thank you again for joining our tour and for sharing your experience with us. Best regards, Best Arctic

Great and friendly guide
Anastasia was a sincere and friendly guide. She was very patient in explaining all the details about the northern lights and the tour. Despite the bad weather, we were lucky to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights (thanks to Anastasia's sincerity). She tried several other spots for another chance of viewing without luck. Overall, I recommend this tour.

Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tromso.
How much does Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region cost?
+
Prices start at $890 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tromso usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tromso is not rushed.
Is Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 201 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tromso, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region?
+
Around 70 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tromso can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tromso and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Aurora Safari Minibus, private locations all around the region start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tromso within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tromso?
+
On Outty we rank every Tromso experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Minibus Chase from Tromsø with Chasing Lights, Northern Lights Big Bus Chase with Chasing Lights, Tromsø Northern Lights Chase We Go Where The Lights Appear. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tromso?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tromso?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
