Truly the best travel experience I've ever had!
The tour was initially cancelled because of the late arrival of our ship but then reoffered as a combined fjord/chasing lights tour. Thank goodness!! The fjords and sunset were awe inspiring on their own but this was only the opening act for a truly special night. Lady Aurora put on an unexpectedly vivid display, dancing above and all around our picturesque campsite at Grotfjord. Not everyone is so lucky and it was late in the season but I'd done my research and felt confident that if we were to have the best chance, a mini bus trip with experienced 'chasers' was the way to go. Michiel was an outstanding guide and host and just as thrilled as we were when the lights appeared. He took some wonderful photos (that arrived in an email the next morning) so that we could just be in the moment. He kept telling us not to bother with our own phones, many still did but I was glad I took his advice and just enjoyed the performance. Michiel and Marcin, our wonderful driver, were a great team. Overall it was a terrific tour (combine them more often!) and, without a doubt, the best travel experience of my life. Thank you so much!

Northern Lights Minibus Chase for Cruise Passengers This was an excellent Northern Lights chase, perfect for small groups and well-timed around cruise ship departures. Michiel and Marcin picked us up right outside the dock, so there was no hassle finding a meeting point. The minibus was warm and comfortable as we left Tromsø, enjoying a short fjord tour before stopping at Grotfjord to watch the Northern Lights. The experience didn’t disappoint. We witnessed stunning skies and were treated to a warm drink, cookies, and a hearty explorer-style meal around a campfire. Michiel and Marcin were fantastic hosts; friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information about the locations and the Northern Lights. They also took professional photos and emailed them to us the next day. We were dropped back at the ship in plenty of time for departure, with everything running smoothly. A fantastic Northern Lights experience, highly recommended!

Alex found the auroras when it seemed impossible!
At the meeting point, Alex picked us up right on time together with the driver. Throughout the journey, he shared interesting insights about the city as well as the Northern Lights phenomenon. Despite the weather not looking very promising, Alex managed to find a great spot to watch the auroras. He also set up a cozy camp with delicious food, creating a really enjoyable experience. In the end, we were lucky enough to witness a beautiful aurora display. Alex’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication made the whole experience truly outstanding.

Beautiful northern lights tour!!!
This was an absolutely magical experience!! We ended up driving to Finland and sitting on a lake and watching the beautiful northern lights. They put on a show the night we went out! Our guide Alex was great and took so many beautiful pictures of us and the northern lights! He also taught us all about the science behind them and the mythology they inspired. We had a campfire with a yummy meal and warm drink at the end. Our driver Patryk was also incredible and got us to and from Finland safely! I recommend this wholeheartedly. I will never forget this night.
