Book tour at your own risk!

This happened today! Our daughter’s friend who joined us on vacation was riding behind my wife on the atv portion of the excursion and the entire seat fell off with her on it while we were on the trail. They acted as if this is normal and happens all the time. Alberto, the XTreme customer service rep came over while she was back getting bandaged up and did not apologize or take responsibility but blamed the machine. I didn’t ask for a refund since we were dealing with getting medical care and they immediately stated that they don’t issue refunds. So someone gets hurt at their park at no fault of their own and their response is to shirk responsibility and tell us no refunds. Very tacky. We skipped the last part of the tour which was zip line given safety concerns and a banged up member of our party. Book at your own risk. We booked through our resort, moon palace, which highly recommends this tour. Clearly they should remove this tour from any recommended tours.

Would have enjoyed more had they not try to scare us into added insurance.

We visited the park in Jan 2026. We did not like the up-charge for insurance for the ATV's. They try to scare you into getting the added insurance. It was only $25USD, but for Canadians it adds up. The ATV's would have been alot more fun had we all not had in the back of minds "NO Insurance", slow down. They told us we could even be charged for damage if someone hit us from behind. The Zip-lines were fun and the lunch was exceptional! I did not do the cenote, but others in our group enjoyed it. We also did not purchase any of the photos, as we were going to Xplor Park and had the photo package there.

Family fun

My family had so much fun on the ATV, zip line and cenote cave swim. Our guide Jesus was lovely, Knowledgeable, friendly and so accommodating. My anxious teen didn’t want to zipline and was kindly taken back to central staging area to swing in à hammock while the rest of the family ziplined. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The cenote felt cold at first but we very quickly acclimatized and enjoyed exploring the cave. It was my favourite part of the adventure (my teens loved ATV). Zip line felt a bit sketchy on a windy day but everyone had fun.

We had a great experience! Atilano, our guide, was great! He provided us a lot of knowledge and a fun time! Our group would all recommend this excursion!

Definitely recommend. Family of 4 from UK

ATV/Zip Wire/Cenote Experience with family of 4 (kids 14 and 18). This was awesome and a great experience to break up pool and historic sites. Booked through Calypso Trip at our Hilton Tulum hotel we were picked up at 8:15 and got back around 3pm. About a 20 min journey to the jungle park where we took part in the 3 experiences - the zipwire was awesome and set out in a circuit across the jungle going from one tower to another. Dip in the cenote was a but cold a first but the cave its in was awesome. For ATV you need to be at least 16 to drive - we had the double versions. Helmets are full face so you don't need to buy extra dust masks or anything. Bring lots of Mosiquto spray. In fact have a bath in it before leaving the hotel - its in the jungle! Also I never buy the photos when I go on these type of things. This was the one exception as we had such a great time I decided to do it in order to remember it in years to come. Its not cheap $100 (around £80) - they aren't forced on you in anyway but there are photographers capturing you across the different activities. They were emailed out to me the next day.

ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya cost?

+

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 141 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya?

+

Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does ATV Xtreme and Zipline Adventure from Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

+

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
