Incredible tour of Athens by our friendly driver and guide Nick
Nick our driver and guide picked us up at our hotel promptly at 10am. The Mercedes Van was comfortable and spacious. Nick gave us a wonderful guided tour of the city of Athens including the Temple of Zeus, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Olympic Stadium, the government buildings, the temple of Hephaestus, Mount Lycabettus, and then of course the Acropolis and the Parthenon which was absolutely amazing. Then we made the long beautiful coastal drive to the Temple of Poseidon which is mentioned in The Odyssey. He had us back to our hotel within the scheduled time. All in all it was an amazing way to see all the highlights of Athens.

Highly Recommended!
Picked the private option on this tour. Loved all the stops that were included. Covers all the major attractions in Athens. We were teamed up with Nick who did an amazing job as our guide. Super knowledgeable and did a fantastic job giving us the history of the city and country. Private tours are a little more money but well worth it! Did the extended tour to the Temple of Poseidon, the drive along the coast was unbelievable with a nice lunch along the way on the water. Highly recommended tour 👍

Perfect Private Athens Tour – Ask for Kostas!
We booked this private Viator tour for my wife, our two friends, and me, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. If you’re considering this tour, ask for Kostas—you won’t regret it. Kostas was waiting for us at our hotel right on time and made us feel welcome from the moment we met him. He was the perfect combination of professional, knowledgeable, funny, and personable, sharing the history of Athens in a way that kept everyone engaged. He thought of everything. He arranged our Acropolis tickets ahead of time (just let him know about a week before your tour), saving us valuable time. He knew the exact spot to stand for the Changing of the Guard ceremony, giving us an incredible view while others crowded around trying to see. Throughout the day, he never rushed us. He gave us plenty of time to explore each stop on our own and even stayed out later than scheduled because we were enjoying ourselves so much. We never felt like we were watching the clock. One of our favorite unexpected moments was when he stopped so we could walk into the water and enjoy the Aegean Sea—such a simple but thoughtful touch that made the day even more special. Lunch was excellent at a beautiful outdoor restaurant, and with the gorgeous weather, it couldn’t have been better. Most importantly, Kostas made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the day. His knowledge of Athens, attention to detail, and genuine desire to make sure we had a great experience really stood out. And if you’re lucky…you might even end up singing karaoke with Kostas on the drive! 🎤 It was the perfect ending to a fantastic day and speaks to how fun and personable he is. If you’re visiting Athens, I highly recommend this tour, and if possible, request Kostas as your driver and guide. He truly made our visit unforgettable. Five stars aren’t enough!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much I ll be waiting for you guys next time for our new Karaoke!!!

Wonderful guided tour of Athens with Kostas
We had a fabulous 2 days with Kostas as our guide and driver. Kostas is knowledgeable, helpful and kind. He has a wealth of knowledge. The sunset trip to Poseidon Temple was spectacular and a must see. The acropolis is outstanding and the changing of the guard at the president's office is otherworldly. The kebab restaurant Kostas recommended was fabulous, food delicious and so reasonably priced. It was a pleasure dealing with Kostas. Thanks for everything.

Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.
How much does Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon cost?
+
Prices start at $194 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.
Is Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Athens highlights and Temple of Poseidon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rhodes?
+
On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks, Rhodes Sea Kayaking Tour – The Pirates Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rhodes?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rhodes?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
