What you get
About this experience
This private, small-group tour takes you deep into Arrábida Natural Park, one of Portugal's most scenic yet least-visited landscapes, far from the crowded routes of Sintra and Cascais. Over 8 hours, your dedicated driver-guide takes you to four distinct stops: the historic town of Setúbal, the cliffside village of Portinho da Arrábida, the turquoise waters of Praia do Portinho da Arrábida, and the fishing town of Sesimbra. Because this is a private tour by air-conditioned minivan, the pace is entirely yours: stop longer where you want, skip what doesn't interest you. Along the way you'll taste regional wines and visit a real local market, seeing a side of Portugal most tourists miss, away from souvenir shops and tour-bus crowds. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Lisbon, bottled water, and wine tasting are included, so all you need to bring is your appetite for something different from the typical day-trip itinerary.

Excellent tour with Lisbon on Wheels
Had an excellent day with Jose in Arrabida. We ventured to beautiful scenic places. We made the best of it even with some less than desirable weather. Jose was an excellent guide and would recommend again and again.

Very good private tour to the area around Sétubal
Highly recommended tour. Our guide, José, fulfilled our wishes perfectly. Good wine, beautiful beaches and first-class food in a restaurant with practically no other tourists, all included.

Go for it!
I cannot recommend a day with guide José Ribeiro highly enough. My husband and I were fortunate to have him as our guide for two very full, highly entertaining, and informative days (Sintra first, then Arrábida Natural Park). José is an energetic, multilingual Renaissance man with an encyclopedic grasp of Portuguese history and a zest for sharing stories and making new friends. He's very flexible and will custom- tailor your day based on your particular interests and desires. Our day in the Arrabida Natural Park was amazing -- gorgeous landscapes, stunning beaches, red snapper fresh off the boat, dinosaur tracks at Pedreira do Avelino, and a private tour of a factory where they hand paint and produce custom tiles using traditional European methods. We were also pleased that he took us to off-the-beaten track cafes and restaurants that he and his family enjoy. We found him to be a genuine, enthusiastic person who enjoys people and loves what he does. I do not doubt that our time with José will end up being one of the highlights of our 5-week to Portugal!

Arrabida Half Day Tour
Had a private Arrabida half day tour with Jose a few days ago. Jose was prompt, polite, fun, and catered the tour to exactly what we wanted; sights, history, food, and more! Jose was generous with his time, recommendations, and jokes making for a great half-day trip. Only thing I would suggest to anyone looking to do Arrabida, is just go for the full-day if you have the time. We didn't feel rushed, but a ~4-hr time period is just not enough. Would highly recommend Lisbon on Wheels if you're able to get Jose as you're guide!

Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Arrábida Natural Park Private Tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
