    Great tour with Scott

Had a fantastic tour with Scott who was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We were lucky to get a private tour due to others cancelling. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you

    Best Bike Tour in Portland!

We had the perfect bike tour around Portland’s Peninsula! Our guide, Scott, was very knowledgeable of the area and kept us entertained the entire time. He even showed us his “favorite” street, “Scott Street”! The ride was not too difficult and the weather was beautiful. We highly recommend Summer Feet Cycling! Thank you so much for a great day!

Response from the operator: Stacy, thank you so much for the review. I have lived in Portland for 25 years, and I have never heard of Scott Street.

The tour was cancelled as I was only one signed up but never notified of such and still charged!!

My trip was cancelled but I was still charged and never received an email or text yhat the tour was cancelled . Summer feet told me that Viator should refund me but I have not been refunded!!

Response from the operator: Sorry for the confusion. We sent a message via the TripAdvisor messenger platform the day before the tour, notifying you that it was canceled. Regarding the refund you booked through TripAdvisor/ Viator and paid them, if you have not been refunded, you need to contact them, as they have your money and are responsible for issuing the refund.

    Portland Biking

We were fortunate to be the only participants on our tour. Our leader Scott was enthusiastic, cautious and very friendly. The problem, there isn’t much to see in Portland. The benefit, a nice way to work off the wonderful food the City offers.

Response from the operator: I'm sorry that you didn't find the Eastern Promenade Trail, Back Cove, or the mansions of the West End Interesting.

Around The Peninsula Bike Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Portland.

How much does Around The Peninsula Bike Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Portland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Around The Peninsula Bike Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Portland is not rushed.

Is Around The Peninsula Bike Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Portland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Around The Peninsula Bike Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Around The Peninsula Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Around The Peninsula Bike Tour?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Portland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Portland and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Around The Peninsula Bike Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Portland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Portland?

    +

Portland sells lighthouse and lobster-boat tours in Casco Bay, Old Port food and brewery walks, seal and puffin cruises, and fall foliage runs up the Maine coast. On Outty we rank every Portland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real Portland Tour: City and 3 Lighthouses Historical Tour with a Real Local, Portland, Maine: Hidden Histories Guided Walking Tour, A Walk Through Time Tour in Portland. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Portland?

    +

June to October, with peak foliage in early October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Portland?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
