Arctic Circle Husky Park has operated next to Santa Claus Village for several decades. At the moment there are about 100 huskies in the park. And once in a while we’ll get puppies, so there is usually puppies or at least youngsters in the park. The focus of all operations in Husky Park are the dogs… Real, purebred Siberian Huskies and special attention have been paid to their well-being and natural needs. This can be seen for example in fencing placing, which is unusual in this kind of operations, and also in dog feeding.

A pleasant tour from start to finish

Started the day with an easy pickup from the hotel. The tour guide 9 Feb was very friendly and a good sense of humour. Reindeer sledding was awesome - they have so much personality. It was about a 500m circuit and extremely picturesque. You either get a reindeer that is very fast and energetic, or more slow and you can take the sights in. From there you feed the reindeers and they love their snack time. Additional opportunity to get more photos and videos. From there you go inside and learn more about the history with a tea and biscuit. Afterwards it’s a drive back to Santa Claus village for the huskies. The huskies are really funny and energetic. Be careful when getting in the sled as it is slippery. It is a bumpy ride - the sled lifts from the ground and hits the floor so be mindful - not so smooth sailing however it was no issue for me, it was very fun and enjoyable. After the huskie sled, the owner of the huskies stayed back and told us more about the huskies and allowed us to ask any questions. Couldn’t fault the activity, it was amazing insight. Afterwsrds, you finish by the fire pit and have warmed apple juice and cinnamon biscuits. Yum!

Fun Morning in a Winter Wonderland

My husband and I enjoyed this small group tour of the reindeer farm and the husky adventure. It had snowed the night before and snowed throughout our tour, which actually added to the experience. Our guide was Victor, and he was awesome; very friendly and knowledgeable, and did all he could to ensure the group enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed the interactions with the animals and the short but very pleasant sleigh rides with both the reindeer and the huskies. These rides are intentionally short which was perfect for us. Other tours offer longer sleigh ride experiences if that is what you are looking for. We wanted some nice photos and a pleasant, comfortable ride, and that is what we got.

    Wonderful guide

We had great communication and our guide was fantastic. He had us everywhere we needed to be, on time, and was very well organized. He also answered a lot of our questions about Finland. Our only demerit is the experiences we had were a little short for the price so the value seemed off. However, it’s a very tourist heavy place so I understand that it’s not all within their control. I would rate more like 4.75 if that was an option.

    Very artificial and short

Very artificial. The reindeer ride is ridiculously short and to feed them there is a fence and you spend no more than 5 minutes doing it. The explanation after is good, but definitely is not worth the price. The huskies ride was the worst, it is not in the forest, it is around the Santa Claus village, so you see fences, road lights and everything during the ride, it is ridiculous. The dogs look very mistreated, they cry and bark all the time. I have done both tours before in Norway and they were waaaaay different. I would definitely not do it again or recommend

Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Arctic Animals Combo Safari, Reindeer and Husky Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
