Incredible Experience
I had an amazing experience trekking to **Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)** with Sarjan as my guide. From the trek itself to exploring **Kathmandu and Pokhara**, he made the entire journey feel smooth, safe, and memorable. Sarjan was knowledgeable, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable throughout the trek. He knew the routes well, helped us manage the challenges of trekking, and made the experience much more enjoyable with his friendly and easygoing nature. Whether it was navigating the trails, planning the journey, or simply sharing local insights, having him with us made a big difference. Beyond the ABC trek, he also helped us explore Kathmandu and Pokhara, making the trip feel more authentic rather than just ticking off tourist spots. If you're planning the **Annapurna Base Camp trek** or want to explore Nepal with a reliable, friendly, and experienced guide, I would definitely recommend Sarjan! 🙌🏔️🇳🇵

Fantastic
My fiancé and I booked this Nepal High Trek trip with a guide (Suman) and a porter (Tenzing) and we cannot recommend it enough. We have been travelling for 3 months and this trek was our favourite week of the whole trip. Suman and Tenzing were professional, friendly, kind and so so helpful - taking everything in their stride and doing everything they could to make our trip experience the best it could be. They really went above and beyond. For example, when I thought I had dropped my phone along the route, Suman turned around to retrace our steps for 30 mins in the pouring rain (because we booked during the off-season) to try and find it, while we carried on. I was anxious about completing the trek and Suman and Tenzing made me feel very reassured. Thanks so much Nepal High Trek, we are already considering booking our next trip with the company.

Best trekking company, guide and porter in Nepal
I had an incredible 7-day Annapurna Base Camp trek, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to my guide, Anos, and porter, Purna. Anos was an outstanding guide—professional, knowledgeable, patient, and always attentive to my needs throughout the trek. He carefully adjusted the pace to suit me, shared interesting insights about the mountains and local culture, and always made sure I was safe and comfortable. His encouragement during the more challenging sections of the trek helped me push through and fully enjoy the journey. Thanks to his experience and flexibility, every day of the trek was enjoyable and stress-free. Purna was equally amazing. He worked tirelessly with a positive attitude every day, carrying my belongings and always greeting me with a smile. His hard work, kindness, and dedication played a huge role in making the trek comfortable and enjoyable. I truly appreciated his efforts throughout the entire journey. Together, Anos and Purna made an excellent team and helped create memories that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. Thank you both for making my Annapurna Base Camp adventure such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

Our Silent Hero and Guiding Star
We came to Nepal for our first trek and left with a treasure trove of memories, thanks to Buddhi and Dorje. Buddhi, your mastery after 18 years as a guide was evident daily—you seamlessly adapted our itinerary, always prioritizing our well-being and the shifting mountain weather, and the reward was those glorious, unobstructed views at ABC. Dorje, you were our silent hero; your reliability and gentle, kind nature gave us a beautiful window into the humble and hardworking spirit of Nepal. We owe our safe and magical journey to ABC and back entirely to you. Dhanyabad!

With 18 years of guiding experience, Buddhi shared a wealth of knowledge throughout the trek. He kept our itinerary flexible by constantly checking on our condition and adapting plans around the unpredictable weather, ensuring that we were rewarded with the magnificent views at ABC. Dorje was an exceptionally reliable porter. Through him, I truly experienced the Nepalese spirit — humble, hardworking, and genuinely kind. Thank you both for bringing us safely to ABC and back!

Annapurna Base Camp Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Annapurna Base Camp Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Annapurna Base Camp Trek take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 90 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Annapurna Base Camp Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
+
Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Annapurna Base Camp Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
