Excellent day of exploring
My mother and I booked this tour after seeing the great reviews and can confirm it lives up to expectations! Our tour guide John and driver Tha Tha were wonderful. Everything from initial communication, the tour itself, organising lunch, and following up by sharing a photo from the day was smooth and well organised. The day was 40° and very humid but they kept us cool and comfortable. The temples are jaw dropping and we learned a lot about their history, the carvings, and restoration efforts, which wouldn’t have been possible without a great guide. Highly recommend!

Discovering Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm with Sam Pho
As French Canadians of Cambodian descent, Tyda, Sotyra and I were really lucky to have Sam Pho as our guide throughout the whole Angkor complex. As we walked through all the 3 temples (Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm) we had the chance to learn from Sam Pho telling us about all the history, mythology and religious facts related to the temples we were walking through. With his meticulous and inspiring tone, it was as if we could feel and live the Khmer Empire that was once full of glory in those mystical places. As a history nerd myself, he truly answered all my questions with precision and shared with me even more knowledge than I was asking for — it was truly the best thing ever. He was also kind enough to help us with polishing up our Khmer (since we have learned it in Canada from our parents, we don’t have the best spoken Khmer) and he taught us a lot about our ancestors. The visit of the Angkor complex was something I was really looking forward to and Sam Pho really was the cherry on top with his insightful explanations and kindness. I highly recommend this tour if you like the feel of adventure, learn about history, hear about mystical stories and want really cool spots to take pictures of the 8th greatest marvel of the world! Sam Pho truly knew them all and had the best photo tricks to capture the best angles :D Traveling & visiting with a local is always the best way to go — especially when they know the best-kept food spots! Fun fact: He had an iced cooler in the back of the van with cold water bottles and cold wet towels for us to cool down between each temple visits — and trust me, they were VERY appreciated. Thank you again so much, Bang Sam Pho. Much love from Canada! - Sheila, Tyda and Sotyra

A most amazing day
With a 4am early start we had a few teething troubles as some guests just didn’t get up on time, however our guide was not phased and got us to the ticket office and then the temple well in time for sunrise. This is the most amazing experience ever, to see the light change and then get the sun coming up behind the Angkor Wat temple – AWESOME. We had a small group of about 14 people and after sunset, we toured the temple, had breakfast and then went on to see other great temples, Ta Prom, Takeo, Bayon, and Angkor Thom. Finally back to the hotel by about 2pm, it was a long but most remarkable day. An amazing experience that we will never forget – thanks to Niran, Dara and Angkor Wat Shared Tours.

Good value for money
Well planned tour, The guide, Mr T was very good and knowledgeable, the group size was just right. The sunrise view was nice, but not a must, I would recommend taking a tour, especially if you want to maximize one day at Angkor Wat.

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate cost?
+
Prices start at $16 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Angkor Wat Sunrise Shared Tour Bayon, Ta Prohm, and South Gate start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
