Unforgettable Tour of Temples and Tonle Sap Lake floating village
Our time exploring the temples of Siem Reap was made truly unforgettable thanks to our guide, Samun. His deep knowledge of the history and architecture of the sites is impressive, but what truly set the experience apart was his openness and storytelling. Samun offered us a profound window into Cambodian culture and the resilience of its people. By sharing the personal history of his family and his own journey to success, he provided a layer of context that you simply won't find in a guidebook. He is a bridge to the real Cambodia: kind, professional, and incredibly insightful. Beyond the history, Samun made the entire experience incredibly smooth. He handled all the logistics with ease, ensuring our tour was comfortable and perfectly paced. If you are looking for a guide who provides both world-class historical expertise and a genuine connection to the culture, I cannot recommend Samun highly enough.
Response from the operator: Dear Steve, Warm greetings from GoCambo Travel! Thank you so much for your thoughtful and beautifully written review. We are truly delighted to hear that your time exploring the temples of Siem Reap with Samun was such a meaningful and memorable experience. Your kind words about his knowledge, storytelling, and personal connection to Cambodia deeply reflect the passion he brings to every tour. Sharing not only the history of the temples but also personal stories and cultural insights is something we value greatly, and we’re so glad that Samun was able to create that authentic connection for you. It means a lot to know that his efforts helped you see Cambodia beyond the guidebooks. We also appreciate your recognition of the smooth organization and pacing of your journey, ensuring comfort and a seamless experience is always our priority. Thank you once again for your high recommendation. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Cambodia in the future! Best Regards, GoCambo Travel

Samun & Con, made this experience one to remember….
Having just returned from a wonderful holiday in Cambodia, I thought it only right to give praise to our wonderful guide on the last leg of our trip. Samun is an excellent guide and offers great knowledge about the history and culture of his great country. From the time he collected us at our hotel in the early hours of the morning, to the moment he dropped us at the airport to head home he showed great warmth and calmness. He asked us how we wanted the day to go and he would then accommodate the trip to suit. He knows where to go during busier times to miss the crowds and where to stop to get the perfect picture. Always finding shade for us during the hot part of the day when walking, was just one of the little things that made it a great experience. We visited Ankgor Wat at dawn, sat on the wall around the moat and discussed the significance of the area and its history. Then we walked into the main area and he told us where to get great pictures of the sunrise. A great experience, one to remember. Later that day we were collected by Samun and Con (the driver), to go to Pre Rup Temple (which I loved), hardly any tourists there and great location for some awesome pictures. On to Ta Prohm (famous for the trees and Tomb Raider), such an amazing place and again, Samun had a great deal of knowledge and guided us through the temple with Charm and experience. He even used his photographic skills to get some great shots of me and my wife. On our way back to the hotel, he told us that Con also had a Tuk Tuk and could take us into town that evening if required, such a great service. Next Day we went to Bayon Temple at Ankgor Thom, where Samun talked us through the story written in the stone wall, such great knowledge. Off to the Tonle Sap through the stilted fishing village in Kampong Phluk. A trip on a boat out onto the lake for a Beer then back. Samun stopped off at a local market and talked us through the fresh produce on show and how it was cooked etc. we then had fried banana and sweet potatoes. Lush !. Samun and Con ended our amazing trip by taking us to the airport for the first flight home. If i could give anyone some advice, it would be to ensure you book a guide & driver (preferably Samun & Con) to give you the best experience when visiting Siem Reap, their knowledge, guidance, patience and personality will ensure its a trip of a lifetime. Arkoun, Samun & Con. 🙏
Response from the operator: Dear Jason, Warm greetings from GoCambo Travel, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. 🙏 Arkun chrern for your incredibly kind words. We are truly delighted to hear that Samun and Con made the final part of your journey so memorable. From the early morning hotel pickup to the airport farewell, it’s wonderful to know that Samun’s deep knowledge, calm nature, and flexibility helped shape an experience perfectly suited to your wishes. Your appreciation for the small details finding shade during the hottest moments, avoiding crowds, thoughtful pacing, and capturing beautiful photos means a great deal to us. These are exactly the touches that turn a good tour into a truly special one. We’re also very happy you enjoyed the cultural insights, local food tastings, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout the days. It’s lovely to hear that Con’s driving and extra services added even more comfort and convenience to your trip. Their teamwork, patience, and genuine care for guests are something we’re extremely proud of. Thank you again for your strong recommendation and for trusting us with such an important part of your holiday. We’re honored to have been part of your experience and would be thrilled to welcome you back again in the future. Warm regards, GoCambo Travel

Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.
How much does Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.
Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour from Siem Reap start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?
+
On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap, 2 Days Guided Historical Tour in Angkor, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Siem Reap?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
