Very informative tour guide

We booked the sunrise tour with Yuth and had an amazing time. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples, and the changes between the Hinduism and Buddhism as the predominant religion and how that impacted the sites. He was very helpful in explaining all the different murals, and pointing out interesting ones we may have missed (as well as explaining different inscriptions and the history of the Khmer and Sanskrit languages in the area). He also took great photos - overall a very enjoyable and interesting tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your sunrise tour with Yuth. He takes great pride in sharing the rich history of the temples, the transitions between Hinduism and Buddhism, and the stories behind the murals and inscriptions—so it’s wonderful to know his explanations made the experience even more meaningful for you. We’re also glad you loved the photos he captured! It was a pleasure having you on the tour, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you again on your next visit! Serakyuth Yoeun

Knowledgeable and professional tour guide who can read Sanskrit from inscriptions

I booked Serakyuth for a small circuit tour around Angkor wat with watching sunset at Mt bakeng. It's an compact day to go through many sites and Mr Serakyuth has done an absolutely fantastic job! We learned a lot about the history and religion of khmer emipire from his explanations on murals and sculptures. We deeply appreciated his knowledge of cambodian languages and Sanskrit to decipher some inscription on the columns, which give an extra kick to the tour! Serakyuth is an an professional and passionate tour guide with a touch of good humour. He is flexible with our tour plan and price is very fair. After 8 hours in depth tour around Angkor Wat, we finished up with the sunset highlight at Mt bakeng.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was truly my pleasure to guide you through the small circuit of Angkor and share the history, art, and spiritual heritage of the Khmer Empire with you. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the explanations on the murals, sculptures, and inscriptions—being able to share my passion for Cambodian languages and Sanskrit always adds a special dimension to the tour. I appreciate your kind words about my professionalism, flexibility, and humor. Your enthusiasm made the full-day journey, from Angkor Wat to the sunset at Phnom Bakheng, even more enjoyable. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide. I hope to welcome you back to Cambodia for more adventures in the future!

An exceptional guide

Yuth is simply exceptional. Flawless English speaker. Gifted photographer. Expert on temple sites, stories, and inscriptions. Friendly and personable, flexible, responsive, kind, reliable. We had him for a group tour then booked him afterwards again for a private tour. We were very lucky to catch a gap in his schedule; we saw his otherwise fully booked schedule. During our time together and based on our requests, Yuth: > crafted creative photo and video shots for us, including a panorama of us in multiple hidden temple locations > taught us meditation in a quiet spot at a banyan-tree-covered jungle temple > clearly and concisely retold Hindu and Buddhist mythologies as depicted on the temples, summarizing the morals > discovered a new, hidden Khmer inscription and transcribed it for us

Response from the operator: Dear Wander, Many thanks for your review and your participate with our tour. We are so glad that you have such a good experience with our tour guide Yuth. All the best for you, Serakyuth

Fabulous knowledgeable guide

Yuth is a wonderful guide. He knew about every carving , the history of Cambodia, the kings, the religion, the culture and even the best ice crean spot! He’d been recommended by a friend and we felt really lucky to have been about to have the day with him. He set the right pace, provided drinks when needed and we could not have had a better guide.

Response from the operator: Dear Prue, Many thanks for your valuable of writing a great review for me. It is my pleasure for sharing things around here, mainly like the temple history or our Khmer culture. I hope all the best for you and happy for your next traveling, Serakyuth

Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Angkor Wat Sunrise Experience – Ultimate 1-Day Guided Temple Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
