Inside the walls the king, his relatives and officials, military officers and priests took residence, the rest of the people lived outside of the great enclosure, between the two artificial lakes. and then we continue the tour to Ta Phrom was a monastery built by the king Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother as well as a school. Ta Phrom has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you will climb through the dilapidated stone structures you will see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. At every turn you will expect to see Indiana Jones (Lara Croft) step out from behind a fallen pillar around you. This tour concludes with return transfer to your hotel or any requested drop off point within the city center.

Best of Angkor Watt in a half day tour

Mok Vireak was a wonderful tour guide. He has a vast knowledge of Cambodian history and made the tour through the temples an unforgettable experience by taking us to all the best sites and a great spot for the sunrise! The tour was just the right amount of sightseeing consisting of a trip to all the main temples and some time for a break at one of the local food spots. Highly recommend if you want so see the temples without spending a full day out.

Angkor Wat half day tour

We had San as our guide for our tour of Angkor Wat, Ta Promh and Bayon Temples. From the moment he picked us up we had a good time. His knowledge of the temples is exceptional. We learned so much in our 7 hours, his passion for the history was infectious. We never stopped chatting, and we had a good laugh too, his English is very good. And not to mention his photography skills, he took some amazing snaps of us (see attached), this also meant we could enjoy our walk around not having to take photos. All in all, exceptional tour and would highly recommend this tour and San.

Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap cost?

+

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 174 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap?

+

Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Angkor Wat Small-Group Sunrise Tour from Siem Reap start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
