A memorable Angkor Wat and Siem reap adveture

I went to Siem Reap a bit apprehensive, and without knowing what my adventure and vacation would look like, until I met the brothers Sothatley and Mr. Boy. Mr. Boy, or just Boy, was my tour guide in Angkor Wat and around the city of Siem Reap, was very professional and has extensive knowledge of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, and Cambodia as a whole. Most of all, he speaks good English, calm and friendly, and I think most importantly his rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Siem reap and the temples of Angkor in Cambodia. 🇰🇭

Comfortable, high value single day tour of Angkor Wat and more

Our guide Mr Young and his father showed us an incredible time in Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. We were chauffeured in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. We started the day early and made it perfectly on-time to observe sunrise over Angkor Wat. The crowds were moderate but Mr. Young knew all of the best spots for viewing and photos. He even graciously grabbed our phone from the car after we had forgotten it. Mr Young shared his wealth of knowledge about the temples and Khmer history. We also learned more about him personally and life in Cambodia. He and his father were flexible with our plans, leaving plenty of time for photos and visiting exactly the temples we wanted. I would _highly_ recommend a private tour for this reason; it's well worth the money. We had breakfast at a nice local spot and before noon we had toured the three most important temples we wanted. We visited Cambodia only for two nights so this tour was the highest value. Over more days we might have explored a cycling tour, professional photo shoot, and more temples. My wife cannot thank Mr Young enough for his hospitality and professionalism. He made this visit to Cambodia the highlight of our vacation.

Response from the operator: Dear Adam, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a great experience with Mean Young. He’ll be so happy to know that his knowledge and photography skills made your trip even more memorable. Your kind recommendation truly means a lot to us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Cambodia soon! Warm regards, Peacock Asia Tours Team

Angkor Wat and more.

Angkor Wat is an amazing archaeological site in Siem Reap. You cant help but be over awed by its age several centuries old, its size and being a monument to an ancient civilisation. Our tour guide Young, has a wonderful knowledge of the temples and can explain in detail the sculptural carvings on the walls in the temples. We also enjoyed hearing about his family's life under the Khmer Rouge and we also visited the Mining Rats and how they uncover the mines.

Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $11 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Angkor Wat & Banteay Srei 1-Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
