Great Mountain Biking Tour
We recently went on a trail biking tour with Bryan and it was fantastic! He was super well-prepared with all the right gear, snacks, and water. He explained how to operate the bikes very thoroughly and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time, even the beginners. Bryan took us to the most beautiful valley and made sure we stopped at all of the most scenic spots. He was easy-going and knew a ton about the surrounding nature and wildlife, sharing cool facts and stories along the way. He even repaired a tire on the road with ease! If you are looking for a great trail biking adventure, I highly recommend Bryan.

Chugach Adventure
Despite the rain, we had a wonderful morning biking in the Chugach mountains thanks to our excellent guide, Brian. He was so knowledgeable and informative about the surrounding area and beyond. We felt safe at all times while enjoying a scenic, challenging bike ride. Thank you Brian!
Response from the operator: Hi! That rain! We're so happy we could make a day of it, in spite of the rain. We strive to make sure everyone enjoys their tour no matter the weather; fun has no weather requirements! Thank you for your review!

Excellent bike tour and tour guide in the (gentle) wilderness
This was a really fun Mountain Bike tour (not e-bike). We drove about 25 minutes from Downtown Anchorage SE to what I believe is the Glen Alps Overlook Trail. Our tour guide Michael was excellent and very familiar with the area, as well as the nature facts that he shared with us. The bikes were in excellent condition and perfectly suited for the trails we went on. This was my first time on a mountain bike tour so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was great exercise and a gorgeous setting, but this was not overly challenging (I would not have wanted it to be). Any capable bike rider could handle this tour. Note that even though the weather was warm and dry, our clothes did get somewhat splattered and wet due to many puddles along the trail from runoff water from the mountains. (So it isn’t like your local park which would be dry if it hasn’t rained in a while). We walked the bikes through a bit of snow in places, so I would recommend hiking boots or old sneakers on the ride. Overall, it was a phenomenal day with gorgeous views and a great guide.
Response from the operator: Hi Drew, Thank you for your outstanding 5-star review of the Chugach Mountain Bike Tour! We're thrilled to hear that you had an excellent experience exploring the (gentle) wilderness. It's fantastic that your tour guide provided such knowledgeable insights and made the tour enjoyable. We're glad to hear that the bikes were in excellent condition and suited perfectly for the trails. Your detailed description of the trail conditions and advice about attire is greatly appreciated by future riders. Overall, it sounds like you had a phenomenal day with gorgeous views. We hope to see you again for more adventures in the future! Cheers, Frankie

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Anchorage.
How much does Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Anchorage usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Anchorage is not rushed.
Is Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Anchorage, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Anchorage can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Anchorage and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Anchorage Scenic Mountain Bike Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Anchorage within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Anchorage?
+
Anchorage is the staging point for glacier cruises out of Whittier and Seward, Denali flightseeing, wildlife conservation centre visits, dog sledding and northern lights chases in winter. Long transfer times make itinerary honesty essential. On Outty we rank every Anchorage experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include PRISTINE - Wilderness, Wildlife, Glacier Experience in Anchorage, Anchorage Trolley's Deluxe City Tour, Anchorage Trolley's 1-Hour City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Anchorage?
+
June to August for glaciers, September to March for aurora. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Anchorage?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
