We begin our hike by ascending along a specially maintained official trail. This path allows us to venture deep into the ancient laurel forest while staying right on the crest of the mountain ridge. Along this route, we will visit three stunning viewpoints, including a "secret spot" where you are unlikely to encounter anyone else, offering true mountain solitude. As we trek, you enter a botanical treasure trove. Over 40% of the species here are endemic to Macaronesia or Tenerife. The star is the Píjara, a majestic giant fern giving the reserve its name. You will walk beneath a lush 'Monteverde' canopy of Hija, Til, and Viñátigo, thriving on moisture from the Trade Winds.
