Lovely light exhibition but no hot drink as stated and not much talk about Amsterdam or the places you pass
The light insulations in the dark evening were lovely to see. We were provided blankets however we were not provided hot drinks as the description states. You could get a hot drink before you went on the boat but had to pay extra, despite the description saying it is included. Although the guide pointed out the art for the exhibition, he did not talk much at all about Amsterdam history or the places that we passed by. He was mostly silent, which was disappointing. Also, if you pay when you arrive, it is cheaper at €25.

Very good canal tour through the Light Festival
It was a great boat tour with a lot of interesting information and you could explore the city from the water, as well as the parts of the Light Festival. It was cold and drizzled in between, but the boat was equipped with enough blankets and umbrellas - would definitely recommend this trip, especially in an open boat!
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the boat tour and had the chance to explore both the city and the Light Festival from the water. We're glad the blankets and umbrellas helped keep you comfortable despite the weather. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you aboard again soon, especially on an open boat for an even better experience! Best regards, Blue Boat Company

Amsterdam Light Festival Open Boat with Live Guide & inc. drinks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Amsterdam Light Festival Open Boat with Live Guide & inc. drinks cost?

Is Amsterdam Light Festival Open Boat with Live Guide & inc. drinks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Light Festival Open Boat with Live Guide & inc. drinks?

How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Light Festival Open Boat with Live Guide & inc. drinks?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
