Nice cruel, drinks included and good atmosphere!
The boat was perfect, not overfull and the atmosphere was fantastic. Its a nice touch to have the sitting arranged in 3+3 with tables. Drinks included were good and there was variation of alcoholic and soft drinks. The guide in Dutch and English was very informative. Thank you for a nice trip.

Nice tour with initial difficulties.
Nice tour with some side information about the city. Sorry, the TripAdvisor booking was not found by the organizer. In the end we were lucky that the ship was not fully booked and we were still taken.
Response from the operator: Dear Bjoern, Thank you very much for your kind review! We are sorry to hear you had an issue with your booking, but we are glad you could still make it and that it was worth it! Thank you very much for your time and for leaving us a positive review :) Best regards, Team Amsterdam Circle Line

Boat never came
The boat never came - we were waiting on the dock for over an hour in the cold. No one could get a hold of the operator.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, We're really sorry to hear about your experience. The issue with your booking was due to a problem with Viator and our system. On the 31st, no cruises were running because of the New Year's Eve event, as the lights were turned off. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration. We’ve reached out to you privately with a solution and hope to make things right. Thanks for your understanding. Best regards, Amsterdam Circle Line

Do Not Book This Trip
Do not book this trip, this was booked as part of the start of the New Year celebrations however our party of 6 as well as approx 20 other people was left waiting for a boat that did not turn up. The contact number would not connect we waited well over 40 mins just in case it was running late but nothing.

You don't have to have
There is no clear queue. As soon as you get in, a grape forms. The boat obviously only leaves when it's full. The tour was in English and German. I thought it was a pity, because you sell it as a German-speaking tour. Drinks service was great. If it accumulates on the water, then the captain accelerates. So that you rush past the attractions. I wouldn't do it again.
Response from the operator: Dear Nil, Thank you very much for your review! We really appreciate the time you took to write us an honest feedback. We are sorry to hear your disappointment about the line: sometimes it gets really busy and we do our best to keep everyone in order. We will keep this in mind to improve our service next time. We offer all tours in English as default language: to that, we add the extra languages required, in this case German. This is to make the tour more accessible to our guests. Thanks again for your feedback! Best regards, Team Amsterdam Circle Line

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks cost?
+
Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks take?
+
Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Amsterdam Light Festival Tour in German | Including Drinks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
