Best tour guide we have had so far on this trip!

Enno was great...super personable and nice! He was super knowledgeable about the city, as he has lived there his whole life and studied history, so he truly knew the history. His English was perfect, and he took us to non-touristy places (like an amazing bakery) in addition to the places everyone has to go to when in Amsterdam. We also loved that he had arranged a boat tour for us...we hopped right on and had an hour-long guided tour of the city. He was also very easy to communicate with; he sent us lots of messages to WhatsApp letting us know where to meet him (and even what he looked like!). He even sent us pictures after the tour of things we had asked him about (ex. the private gardens behind the magnificent brownstone homes of Amsterdam). We highly recommend him. If we could give him more stars, we would!

Response from the operator: Dear Summer and Dan, Thank you for sharing your exceptional experience with Enno, our knowledgeable and personable tour guide in Amsterdam. We appreciate his dedication and expertise, which made your tour memorable. Enno's ability to showcase both popular attractions and hidden gems, like the amazing bakery, reflects our commitment to providing authentic experiences. We're glad you enjoyed the boat tour and Enno's attention to detail in communication. Your recommendation is greatly valued, and we look forward to serving you again in the future. Kind regards, Your Layover Team / Dutch Flower Tours

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
