Prefect way to experience the canal lights. Wonderful hosts, food and drinks. Helped our taxi driver find the location. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for writing this review, we really appreciate it! Thank you for joining our light festival tour which takes place from November 27th till January 18th and where we will pass by all the light artworks! Hopefully we can welcome you back soon on board for another memorable tour of Amsterdam.

Light Festival Tour of Amsterdam

Sebi our captain was wonderful, his small boat was nice, roomy and clean, the plastic blinds rolled up to give us direct view of the artworks and if it got too windy we just rolled them back down without blocking the view, there was a full array of drinks and an assortment of appetizers to partake. Sebi was very knowledgeable and I highly recommend taking his tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Eleanor, Thank you for taking the time to write this beautiful review, thank you very much! Very happy to see that our unique boat, our local snacks and drinks and our more personal approach was such a succes! We do hope to welcome you back on board for another beautiful tour of Amsterdam

Best tour boast in dam

We booked this boat which was abit dearer than the million other boats in dam but well worth the money. We meat the captain and other passengers at meeting point. The amount of drink and selection from mulled wine and wines to beers and juice was great. There was delish snacks too. The tour was great your taken down the light festival and given so much history from the fantastic captain. My only critique would be for thoughs sitting outside there should be a speaker so they can also hear all the amazing history and also blankets too as it was very cold. But add that and it would be the best. However this never wrecked my experience as my friends who sat inside were able to fill me in, outside was just so beautiful so to have both the history being told while outside would be amazing. Highly recommend and will do again.

Response from the operator: Dear Louise, Thank you for this wonderful review, we really appreciate! Happy to see you had such a good time on board with us and enjoyed the light festival (only in December and January) and our local drinks and snacks. Thank you for your recomendations and we will definately look into it. Only surprised about the blankets as we do have those them on board in winter time! Anyway hope to welcome you back soon on board on our regular tour and enjoy even more of our beautiful city

We had a blast on this tour. The buildings were gorgeous. Sebi was so knowledgeable about the area and super friendly. And the mulled wine and snacks were delicious.

Couldn’t be better

This is a small (6) group tour. We were welcomed by Sebi into his warm, comfortable, and charming boat. What a knowledgable guide! Wine, cheese, fruit, local beer, water, sodas, and sweets were provided to enjoy while absorbing the beautiful lights and history of the canal’s. All of this while chatting with excellent company. It was a perfect introduction to an amazing city.

Response from the operator: Dear John, Great review and couldn't have described it better! So happy to see you fully enjoyed our local snacks and drinks , the other company on board and of course our beloved city! Hope to see you back on board soon again!

Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours cost?

+

Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours take?

+

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amsterdam Light Festival by Sebi Boat Tours start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

+

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
