Disappointed but has potential to be fun if better organized.

Receptionist was not friendly whatsoever. Not very organized, no staff members inside the mini golf. Finished in ten minutes.

Black Lady at backlight mini golf was horrible.

The African American woman at the desk for the mini golf was insufferable. Showed my QR CODE and she responds with "ticket ID number", I ask what's the point of the qr code and go no answer, No eye contact, was extremely rude and gave off the aura of either hating her job or her life maybe both. I seriously hope she finds a job that makes her shine. Because this one ain't it. Just quit lady no more attitude towards strangers.

Response from the operator: Hello Israel! Thank you for visiting American Dream and taking the time to leave us a rating during your visit with us! We strive incredibly hard here to make every guest experience memorable and unforgettable; we’re really sorry we’ve not been able to meet your 5-star expectations this time. We hope you do not let this be a defining moment for us! This is NOT the experience we want our guests to have when they visit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope that you can give us another chance to provide a better experience by visiting us again soon! Jake

    Cute Little Course

Cute indoor mini golf. The six of us ran through the course rather quickly. The course is small and a tight squeeze in between holes, but we enjoyed ourselves.

    Don’t go!!!

We went to play black light mini golf and were told to purchase tickets online as they would be cheaper. We started to do so and the woman behind the counter told us(quite rudely) we couldn’t stand on the purple, that we needed to stand on the white floor even though no one else was around at the time. We each bought (my cousin and I) 2 tickets for black light mini golf, one for each of our 4 kids. We told her we were ready and she scanned our QR code. She asked if the oldest child was 14 and we said no. Confused we then had her scan the 2nd QR code for two other tickets. She asked why there were 6 of us and only 4 tickets. We explained to her that we (adults) we not playing as it takes a long time for six of us to golf. She seemed to get quite annoyed at this point and told us that the fine writing under the terms said we had to buy a ticket as well. Not only did she not mention this to us when we wanted to buy the tickets, she started raising her voice at us saying she isn’t going to lose her job for this and there were cameras everywhere. We were appalled by the price of the tickets to begin with but were dumbfounded that we HAD to buy tickets to go in. So we purchased 2 more tickets and moved on. I then went to grab a golf putter and she yelled at me saying don’t touch that I will hand you one. She was so rude and unprofessional especially in front of 4 kids. Since we had to pay we did play (2 adults) but then felt rushed as she let in other groups right after us. The whole experience either her at the front desk was awful. Never again will I go or recommend to anyone. The course was also very simple.

    Great time!!!

This is a mall you could probably spend the whole day at filled with activities. Look you are in Bergen County right outside NYC, expect to pay those prices…. Parking was tough on a holiday, but that’s expected. Overall it was very clean with many options of activities from 15-$100. We did golf and the ropes course which was around 100 for 3 of us.. we decided not to eat there due to the crowds and us being familiar with the area.. will go again to check out Big Snow and the water park. My visit was on Presidents’ Day so it was loaded with families looking for things to do!

American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Newark.

How much does American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Newark usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Newark is not rushed.

Is American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Newark, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Newark can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Newark and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does American Dream Black Light Indoor Mini Golf Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Newark within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Newark?

    +

Newark handles a lot of practical travel: airport transfers, port pickups for cruises, plus city walking tours, Ironbound food crawls and quick trips across the river into Manhattan. On Outty we rank every Newark experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game New Jersey: 60-Minute Adventure at American Dream, Experience Great Big Game Show New Jersey, New York, D.C, Niagara Falls & Boston 7-Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Newark?

    +

April to June and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Newark?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
