Excellent experience with a highly knowledgeable guide

Flight & Safaris International are excellent in their work, highly professional but have not lost that personal touch that makes your trip special. Our guide for this tour was Jonathan Musyoka and he is one of the most important persons who made this trip special for us. He has excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna in Amboseli, was able to identify more than 50 species of birds and equal number of plants and trees. He is very friendly too and we became like a small family during the trip. Would highly recommend Flight & Safaris International for anyone travelling to Kenya and nearby places.

Response from the operator: Hello, We are extremely pleased to hear that you had an unforgettable experience here in Kenya. We really appreciate your business support and look forward to many more years of serving you, your friends and family. Our driver guides thrives to ensure customer satisfaction with their comprehensive knowledge of the Kenyan parks and wildlife. Jonathan is an experienced bird watcher and tour guide. Thank you very much for your feedback and we hope to see you soon on your next safari. Yours, Flight Safaris.

Do not book

Don’t book this, unless you want your plans ruined. Got engaged to my fiancé and was supposed go on a Safari. They confirmed and collected my money.. had no problem doing this, but when the time came to actually do the tour, they never showed, never contacted me to let me know they weren’t coming. I even sent a message the night before Confirming. They never responded to any messaging afterwards explaining what had happened instead. Very unprofessional and you could certainly do better as there are other options.

Mt Kilimanjaro was the crown jewel of this tour!

My driver Agak took me on an exciting adventure that I won’t soon forget. The highlight of this tour was definitely seeing Mt Kilimanjaro up close. I also went to a local village and got to see how the locals live and I even participated in a dance with them. I would definitely do this tour again with Agak as he was entirely safe with driving me around Amboseli and taking great photos for me.

Response from the operator: Greetings from Flight and Safaris International Ltd, It was nice being of service to you and we are happy to hear that you had a wonderful and memorable time in Amboseli. We really appreciate your feedback and look forward to hosting you again and your friends/family. Regards, Flight & Safaris International Ltd.

Amboseli Day Excursion: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does Amboseli Day Excursion cost?

+

Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Amboseli Day Excursion take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is Amboseli Day Excursion worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Amboseli Day Excursion?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Amboseli Day Excursion suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Amboseli Day Excursion?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Amboseli Day Excursion start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

+

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
