Excellent customizable 2 day tour of Alishan Forest
Our family of 15 enjoyed the 2 day tour to Alishan with our guide Florence. We were able to customize the tour to our liking. Thank you, Florence, for accommodating our preferences. The shuttle bus picked us up right outside of the Airbnb. We had a couple of quick rest stops along the way to Chiayi where Florence recommended a lunch spot for special chicken/turkey rice dish. We watched a performance at the Yuyupas Tsou Cultural Park and then had a high mountain tea tasting experience in Alishan Forest. We independently booked rooms at the Yin Shan hotel in the Alishan Forest so that we were close to the train or shuttle bus to get to sunrise at Zhushan station. Florence recommended the 4:20 am shuttle bus which enabled us to be the first ones at the Xiaoliyuanshan lookout for sunrise. After sunrise, we explored the Sister Ponds and Sacred Trees and had breakfast provided by the hotel at a local restaurant. We were able to procure tickets on the Alishan historic train from Alishan to Chiayi, where the tour bus picked us up and brought us back to Taipei.

Excellent personalized tour with great local guide
We had such an amazing time with Just Taiwan Tours and cannot recommend them enough. We requested Tony based on recommendations we read in other reviews and we were so happy we did; he was an incredible driver and tour guide, taking us to some really special and unique places most tourists don’t go to, and was full of amazing knowledge and great tips for the best photo spots and hidden gems for food and other activities. The tour company is very flexible and accommodating throughout with special requests if you want to deviate from the planned itinerary, and all in all we had the most amazing two-day experience in Alishan and the surrounding area.

Spoiled Rotten by Tony
We loved this tour and our fabulous guide, Tony! Tony picked us up at pirates hotel in a Mercedes van. Water was provided both days which was an added bonus for us. He knew all the hidden spots to take us and brought along his own Nikon camera to take pictures! He provided a card with all of his photos loaded. We felt like celebrities with all of the photo ops! His service was just amazing, speaking excellent English and telling us all about the history pf this island and all of the special places he took us. We kept saying how lucky we were, because we were able to see a sunset, sunrise, monkeys, moths at the temple, got great parking spots, and had fabulous food along the way. I highly recommend this tour and the accommodations provided!Thank you Tony for the great time and amazing photos!

Nature trippin at Allshan
It is a wonderful commune with nature — fresh air, awesome views with a little history. Our guide/ driver/photographer Wilson is the best! The hotpot dinner was also good!
