About this experience
This private full day tour will introduce you to part of the Algarve coast, the western Algarve, between Sagres and Lagos. Departing from Lisbon we will take the A2 motorway towards the southernmost region of Portugal to Sagres, the most SW point of Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula. This trip will take about 3 hours. Arriving in Sagres we will visit all the places and points of greatest interest and beauty of this Algarve region, among which we highlight: the Fortress of Sagres and Cape St. Vincent; Ponta da Piedade with its paradisiacal beaches and caves; the historic center of Lagos with its churches and the famous golden chapel in Santo António church. Also part of this private tour is a boat trip lasting approximately 1 hour to the Ponta da Piedade caves in Lagos. In the evening we will return to Lisbon, along the same route, which will last approximately 2.5 hours.

Long ride, but worth the trip!
The boat trip to the caves,. Although the day was long and the beaches crowded, the highlight was visiting the caves. Also, after learning about the cork process we saw cork trees being cut during the trip. Pedro's knowledge was a tremendous help explaining the history.

Great time
Pedro was great! He arrived on time and was full of information. We got to spend time at a few places as we drove to Lagos. The only bummer was we were not able to go into the cave on the boat ride because it was high tide. But, that is not anyone's fault. Would definitely use him again for other areas.
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot!

Great day trip to the Algarve
We had the pleasure of being guided by Pedro. Punctual to the minute, their wealth of knowledge enriched the entire experience. Coupled with a genuinely friendly demeanor, they made the tour not just informative but also highly enjoyable. Definitely worth it and highly recommend!

Optimal Day trip to Algarve
Pedro was a wonderful tour guide and the tour was exactly as described. It was thoughtfully planned out and made the most of my day in Algarve. I was taken to the best spots to view the Golden Coast and the boat tour seeing the caves concluded a near perfect day. ***I would recommend bringing cash for any and all purchases including food as it seems the local shops aren’t interested in accepting credit cards. Would highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much!

Perfect day trip to the Algarve
We (a group of 4 friends) had such a great day in the Algarve! We really enjoyed getting out of the city for a road trip, seeing the varied landscape and cork trees along the way, and Pedro was such a great source of knowledge with flexibility to give us an experience we won’t forget. We loved the boat ride which gave us a closer view of the stunning coastline. You really see the power of the Atlantic Ocean at Sagres.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much!!

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $275 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Algarve Private Tour from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
