Awesome guided photo tour of Lisbon
Our guided photo walk with Carlos was excellent. We met at an easy to find park that was proximate to the route that our tour would take. Carlos was on time eager to guide us through the winding streets and alleyways of Lisbon. He is knowledgeable about cameras and camera settings and made some helpful suggestions regarding how to set up the camera for the type of photography that we would be doing. Carlos seems to know all the great spots for good photos of everything from architecture, cityscapes, and the iconic Electrico trams. He suggested several helpful Framing options at some of the locations. He also spent some extra time with us in a cafe and gave us several helpful hints regarding getting around Lisbon. I was very happy with this experience and the photos that I came away with. I would gladly go on this tour again.
Response from the operator: Hi, Charles. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad the suggestions helped and that you captured some keepers of those iconic trams and Alfama's architecture. Hopefully those photos bring back great memories! Sharing practical Lisbon insights alongside the photography guidance makes these walking tours rewarding for me too as a native photographer. Great Lisbon tour! Bring your camera!
I met Carlos this morning for a photowalk around Lisbon and it was such a fantastic introduction to the city. I am a keen photographer so not only did we have a great chat about that throughout our walk but he also had fantastic knowledge and insight of the secrets and backstreets of the city. He has lots of stories about the different tiles, architecture and streets as you walk along. He knows all the secret spots and was keen to point out great portrait locations to bring my wife back to. He gave me some tips on taking photos and asked me about myself/interests etc to tailor the walk to me. I was very lucky to be the only person on his photo walk! Smartphone, film, digital, whatever camera - this is a great tour to start off a trip in Lisbon!
Response from the operator: Hi, George. Thank you so much for your kind words. Really glad the walk served as a great introduction to Lisbon as that's exactly what I hope for when adapting the experience to each photographer's interests and expectations. Alfama's tiles and narrow streets, along with photography guidance is what makes these photo walks so rewarding. Sounds like you'll have some excellent portrait locations to revisit with your wife! Safe travels and hope those Lisbon photos bring back great memories! Carlos Reveles Professional Photographer & Guide Photograph Lisbon

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local cost?
+
Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Alfama Photo Walk – Lisbon Photography Experience Led by a Local start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
