Great coach to Alberello ,& Matera All was clearly explained prior to departure & you can download an audio or use a guide when you are there. The remainder of the time is up to you to do what you want We chose to use a guide just in Matera & were glad we did. He was fabulous Also our Driver ..Daniel was great. Spot on with time & welcomed you back to the coach with nibbles Highly recommend

This tour was not as advertised. It was unprofessional and poorly organized from the very start. The staff member that met my cousin and I at the bus was curt and joyless and did not acknowledge that I actually paid for two tickets, even after I showed her the receipt. no one spoke to us after we got on the bus about where we were going or anything at all about the history of the place or what the agenda was. The only thing they did was hand us a pamphlet. When we arrived at our first destination, everybody got off the bus and because I did not want personal guide - we were off on our own. It would’ve been nice to have some information from an actual human being about where we were and how to navigate. Our second point of destination, Matera, was even worse. After we arrived, a man came on the bus and yelled at us words I could not decipher. as someone from another country, it would’ve been nice to have had a guide with local knowledge come onto the bus, welcome us and explain the choices for us, possible sites, etc…Everyone wondered around and people did not know where to go, and the guide was rude to us and questioned us as to why we would not get a guided tour? All I wanted was directions as to where to get to the old city. It was chaos. The trip was advertised as having snacks. There was just one bag of dry crackers. If I wanted transportation to a destination, I would’ve paid just for a bus ride - which is really all this was!! I do not recommend this “tour” at all to anyone. I reached out to the point of contact after the tour and was ignored.

Good care and top driver
Good care and top driver. All freedom to walk around. At fixed time then to be able to get back on the bus for further tour. Pleasant way to travel.

Great day!
We stayed in Barry for three nights and after researching trains and buses this was the most efficient way for us to see these two towns. The bus was right on time, communication was excellent, and when we were in the town messages were sent to our phone on the exact location and time of the bus which was also helpful. We enjoyed leaving the driving to a skilled driver so that we could enjoy the beauty of the countryside. We opted not to take the guided tour as we have been traveling for a while and have had plenty of those and instead took a two hour hike in Metera which we would highly recommend. Metera especially the Sassi diatrict is not to be missed.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.
How much does Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport cost?
+
Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.
Is Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Alberobello & Matera, From Bari with Comfortable Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bari?
+
On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Polignano a Mare: Boat Tour of the Caves - Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bari?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bari?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
