    Excellent Private Tour of Acropolis!

Maria was an excellent tour guide. The Acropolis is very crowded and she navigated us seamlessly through the crowds. She possesses amazing knowledge about the gods and the ancient ruins and shared the stories with us in a way that kept us engaged. We also toured the Archaeological Museum which she again did a great job of keeping us engaged. She took breaks at the right time and even went a little longer then the tour ending time as we had questions nd she had more to share. We were so happy we booked this tour. The only suggestion is to make sure that if you have them book your entrance tickets (which I highly recommend) that you confirm the time with them beforehand. Our tour was to start at 9:00 but the timed entrance tickets were for 8:40 and that had not been communicated to us. Highly recommend Maria and this tour.

    Unforgettable tour and guide

Anda is an excellent guide and we enjoyed our tour with her. She is very knowledgeable and explained everything in a clear and Interesting way. She is very enthusiastic about her work and this is contagious. We were a party of 4 older adults, one of whom recently had hip and knee surgery so had to be super careful going up the Acropolis especially in the rain. Anda was very considerate and patient with us. The weather was so terrible that they closed the site for incoming guests when we were up at the Parthenon. Anda’s main concern was for our safety. We made it safely to the museum where she tied together what we saw on the Acropolis. She spent 5 hours with us on a 3 hour tour! She wanted to make sure we covered all the key topics. She also gave great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do .

Response from the operator: Dear Judith, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are always at your disposal!

Amazing experience, just loved our guide Sofia!

We had Sofia as our guide, she was wonderful! Very passionate, accommodating, knowledgeable and an incredibly kind person. She enhanced our experience visiting the Acropolis and connected well with my teenagers. Don’t hesitate to book!

The best experience to know Athen’s rich history

First time in Athens and want to know all the history and really learn from the experts? You DEFINITELY need to do this tour! Since the very first time that I started talking to them, they all were extremely kind and attentive. Our guide tour went beyond! We are a multilingual family and she did the whole tour in two different languages, she was patient, took us at our own pace and answered every single question we had. She knows very well the history of the city, the tour around the Acropolis and the museums were just the best. We learned a lot and ended up very happy with this tour. One thing I know and is that when I come back to Athens, I know I have new friends, and will definitely reach out and take this tour again. Worth every single euro! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Response from the operator: Dear Federico, the emotions are mutual! We are very glad that you enjoyed your day and that we had you on board! Thank you!

Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Acropolis Of Athens & The Acropolis Museum Private Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
