    Acropolis audio

While the audio tour was great in theory you should know you can download the audio tour before you enter. You have more than a day and we wish we would have so we could have understood the way the controls worked better. That being said it was difficult to use because it was so hot my phone shut off due to heat (not the tours fault just something to be aware of). The site is obviously worth visiting and spending time to see. We listened to audio tour in the comfort of our room after

Expect long lines and lots of steps, BUT ... worth it!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to follow (both in english language and visibility). Incredible experience to be up there.

    Legit Tickets!

Wasn't able to get the 8am Parthenon tickets from the official site so this was the next best option without the need to spend extra money an official tour. These passes were legit and it was nice to get in at 8am and see most of the sites before it started to get really crowded. We did not use the self guided tour so cannot comment on that but this company did send me the tickets via what's app the night before.

    Bait and Switch

Not happy with this seller, I booked 2 weeks ahead and confirm the day before, my ticket will be 8:00 AM admission. Come tour day, they said they don’t have ticket admission at 8:00AM, want us to switch to 10:45 instead. We already booked the our guide starting at 7:30 so we go to acropolis at 8:00. 10:45 would not do us any good. This is a bait and switch. Do not use them. Thanks to our tour guide, we still able to experience Greece

Acropolis is amazing, we just wouldn't use Sights of Athens again

The Acropolis itself is amazing and I would highly recommend that everyone goes. I just wouldn't use this operator. We booked through Viator and never received our tickets before leaving the US to Greece. I sent an email & they said they were contacting their local partner, Sights of Athens. We were told the tickets would be sent the next morning, they weren't. I reached back out & was told the vendor forgot to send the tickets. We literally received the tickets a couple hours before our entry time. We had no idea if we were actually going to get them or had been scammed until the very last minute.

Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Acropolis Parthenon Entry Ticket and Virtual Reality Audio Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
