Half a day too long
Could be done in half the time easily. It's the same time you can do with the hop on hop off bus, but the stops are set in tine and way too long. For instance , a mosque with no adornment was an hour stop. My Muslim friend washed up, prayed, we toured the mosque and the grounds, browsed the bookshop, and went to the bathroom and we still had 1/2 hour to kill. Every stop was like that. Do the hop on hop off bus and save a half day and spend extra time where you want to, when you want to.

Perfect
Cenk Akbostanci, He was the most amazing tour guide we have ever had. We have traveled all around the world and never have we had a more knowledgeable guide, but most of all kinder and caring. Cenk went out of his way to make our trip perfect. He knew everything you ever wanted to know about Turkey. Where ever we went people knew him. My husband had something that was really important to him he wanted to do and Cenk went on his own time to make it happen. There was nothing Cenk would not help you with or question you had all you had to do was text Cenk and he answered. Turkey was great but we were really blessed by having a wonderful man become family. We will always remember our trip to Istanbul. If you go ask for Cenk. Because of Cenk we will be coming back to Istanbul in the near future. Truly a wonderful experience

Amazing tour of Istanbul with Cenk
After being referred from our hotel, the Four Seasons at The Bosphorous, we all met our tour guide Cenk. He made the tour one of the best I've ever been on. He was knowledgeable, extremely polite and really catered the tour to everyone. We saw all of the sights, ate amazing food at local restaurants and got an immersive experience of the rich history of Istanbul. I couldn't recommend this tour and Cenk enough. Thanks again

Great tour guide for Istanbul
The Four Seasons Sultanahmet recommended Cent (“Jenk”) Akbostanci as our full day tour guide. He was more that just a tour guide. I can truly say we have made a life long friend. Not only was he knowledgeable about all of the sights we saw (which are too many to list) on the 7 hours we spent together, but we got a taste of the true delights of Istanbul. We felt like very special guests everywhere. We ate delicious foods at local restaurants and he brought us to the best shops for authentic souvenirs. Many memories were made and he took great photos of us throughout the day. Will recommend him to our friends and will definitely reach out to him for future visits. His tour was the highlight of our trip.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea cost?
+
Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does A-Day-Tour of Istanbul, by Land and Sea start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
